If I were a betting man, I would guess that they sized that frunk for these toolboxes since they are the industry standard. At least tall enough for the large box, hopefully, 2 side by side with room in the middle or sides. If they used these as a baseline the "not a real work truck" complaint takes a bit more damage.

I thought it would be small but it is smaller than I thought especially at the ends.

Look at all the places the arrows point at.

Looks like some trade-offs were made.

No one is going to look at that and think it is not small (mini) by comparisons to
Ford and Chevrolets.

What's the loose wire, front left of frunk?
It would be nice if Tesla would finally give some dimensions of the CT that aren't going to change.

WOW, could not even give us 1 power outlet in this TINY frunk. WTH Tesla.

From the other CT reveals, power options in the cabin and bed may also be lacking.

Please keep your promise Tesla and at least deliver 500 mile range.

wonder why they keep showing an inverter / battery box in the frunk photo's? they going to make us buy an external device as an accessory - to get a charge from the frunk or even the bed? Clearly prefer outlets but who knows!

Add an L-Track between the top 2 screws to put hooks on and keep groceries from sliding around? Not that I'll do groceries, I more want the tool boxes shown above to store stuff in.
because they’re disconnecting / jumping the 12v/48v battery

I suspect they have some safety protocol for prototypes, similar to them being software, limited to 10 miles an hour max until they’re fully vetted

Don’t want one of these new builds becoming self-aware on accident
