Looks like that is the official accessory ensemble? ?

It has a spot for the spare tyre, Starlink dish, tracks etc...all on the roof and taking up the bed....boring!! Back to the drawing board with that, I bet you range takes a 10-20% dive with all that stuff mounted like that.

If it is offcial, sack the CT accessory team now please. 100% fail, don't like a single bit of it. This is not Tesla spec.

this is why a ~month ago I was musing that Tesla’s accessories page should list the range effect of each accessory @EPA test conditions

that should be the future of BEV external accessory marketing/disclosures

Tesla should lead that convo

I'm not terribly impressed either, they're all things that any third party could have designed.

One spare tire for two CTs is quite reasonable.

A nice reservoir may be not for a CT but for a driver if he is a diver. Otherwize there is champagne for shover of a winner...

In that sense virtually any accessory is going to be something somebody else could have designed. I mean, how often does a new accessory come out that has never been done before.

I am curious about the cross bars though. It would seem to me and I'm certainly no aerodynamicist the angling the top surfaces and making the rear one a little bit taller so things are level. Might be better but I again maybe I'm just way off base

wonder how they're mounting the tire mount / air tank on the vault floor? given there's a battery underneath, drilling doesnt seem legit and as far as we know, there's no t track on the floor...

I want to mount a pair of these for dirt bikes

@cvalue13 - I almost nailed that light bar when you were asking about it a few weeks back.

My rendered one was on the back of the peak while the recent sighted one is on the front, but still very similar:

In retrospect, I don't know why I didn't put it on the front, but its likely because I was unsure of where all the FSD cameras were and didn't want to block them. Later I'd see they were most likely lower anyway.

yup!

I suspect that yours was the preferred location, but the angle was such that it was difficult to cast light in the desired locations

the Velcro tabs shoulda been the give-away ?

It's going to be interesting to see what they manage, given that the inner vault sides and structure are totally different now.

Hmmm.... Not sure I'm on board with the striped look. Almost looks like it was cut into longitudinal sections for detailed internal study.
They're obviously trying to still figure out where that exoskeleton went...

It's going to be tough to have variable height air suspension with no onboard air compressor.
The onboard air compressor is suspension dedicated. no accessory outlet

hence the compressed C02 tank for powering tools, wiring tires, etc., presumably

These sorts of aftermarket accessory compressors/tanks always seemed like the right approach to me - there just aren’t that many users to justify building it into every unit

It's not the novelty I'm referring to but the execution, any third party can make a lightbar, spare carrier or starlink mount that sticks out into the airflow.

What I was hoping they'd do is design the truck with the accessories in mind, instead they appear to be an after thought more than anything else.

In this case, that *is* a third party spare tire mount

Which sort of begs the question: will Tesla’s optional spare tire just otherwise lay in the bed?

Musk has previously said “you can throw a spare tire in the bed,” and he may have meant it.

And there’s no other place to store it.

at least if it’s laying in the bed you can close the vault, unlike this rough country solution
