The onboard air compressor is suspension dedicated. no accessory outlet

hence the compressed C02 tank for powering tools, wiring tires, etc., presumably

These sorts of aftermarket accessory compressors/tanks always seemed like the right approach to me - there just aren’t that many users to justify building it into every unit
Thats a bit sad it doesn't have an outlet at least. But it's probably because they don't want to wear out the suspension compressor with trades using it on the job. It has a power plug though...

haha

Damn picture uploaded for ages... I saved, but still the picture wasnt there. Then I thought... Im in trouble here if someone reads it before I get a chance to fix it :ROFLMAO:
The picture is there now.

We don't know that was to be installed on the truck, or if the truck will really have a way for us to access the compressor it has.

That said, we don't know if that got cut - we do know it has plenty of air for its height tricks,

It's not the novelty I'm referring to but the execution, any third party can make a lightbar, spare carrier or starlink mount that sticks out into the airflow.

What I was hoping they'd do is design the truck with the accessories in mind, instead they appear to be an after thought more than anything else.
Well, they're not the common uses of the truck.

In this case, that *is* a third party spare tire mount

Which sort of begs the question: will Tesla’s optional spare tire just otherwise lay in the bed?

Musk has previously said “you can throw a spare tire in the bed,” and he may have meant it.

And there’s no other place to store it.

at least if it’s laying in the bed you can close the vault, unlike this rough country solution
It's actually a little ironic that the have a third party spare holder, because they didn't do a spot for the spare as a manufacturer. A bit of a shame, but it just doesn't have enough space between the rear axle and the rear bumper.

I completely missed the lightbar. Really don't why that couldn't go under the windscreen though. Was it because of the windscreen glass lensing to the inside?

Air tank means no onboard compressor. Great. But looks like we get the option for a very un-aerodynamic light bar.
Really? No one's said scuba tank yet? They are in Mexico.. But it could be anything, honestly.. Except the tank for the suspension? Seems that is what people are implying? Is everyone insane, or am i? Am i everyone? What is the meaning of life?

Also, what light bar?

Could you give an example of how they might do that? I mean four hardpoints on each "bedrail" running from front to back is pretty darn accommodating. tiedown points in the vault floor and rails in the side panels. What sort of design accomodations did you have in mind?

Refer to post #28 this thread by cvalue. Even has a nice red arrow :) Is pretty hard to see without that though.

If it is offcial, sack the CT accessory team now please.
My gut says none of this is official. They are still in the testing phase. Also, if Tesla has a for sure Cybertruck accessory team now, I am sure they have some really cool accessories built that they are currently keeping under wraps., to include Space X's "not a flamethrower" accessory. :)

I would imagine so, strikes me as a better solution than stowing it vertically. Still, there's no getting around the fact that you have a spare taking up space in the bed and there being no compressor outlet, I assume you have it on good authority, only compounds the problem.

By having mounting provisions that allow for them to be installed to the interior of the vehicle. Something to this effect as far as the lightbar is concerned:

Looks like that is the official accessory ensemble? ?

It has a spot for the spare tyre, Starlink dish, tracks etc...all on the roof and taking up the bed....boring!! Back to the drawing board with that, I bet you range takes a 10-20% dive with all that stuff mounted like that.

If it is offcial, sack the CT accessory team now please. 100% fail, don't like a single bit of it. This is not Tesla spec.

Yea! They should keep all that stuff in a portable wormhole suspended from reality until needed. /S

I doubt this is everything Tesla has.
Even if Tesla offers zero accessories, the Cybertruck sales will be brisk. How many F150s are used for anything other than urban commute and family transport?
I never plan to go off-road, nor carry any plywood.
I just want a daily driver that takes me into the all-electric age; that doesn’t have a new dent after every trip to the grocery store; that carries this family of five and luggage to the airport; etc.

It's going to be tough to have variable height air suspension with no onboard air compressor.
There is definitely an on board compressor and tank. The question is if we will be allowed access to it. It may need to be a closed loop for safety reasons.

Who said these are the official accessories? For sure, no one has heard of it. These are test product, obviously on a prototype vehicle.

In that sense virtually any accessory is going to be something somebody else could have designed. I mean, how often does a new accessory come out that has never been done before.

I am curious about the cross bars though. It would seem to me and I'm certainly no aerodynamicist the angling the top surfaces and making the rear one a little bit taller so things are level. Might be better but I again maybe I'm just way off base
The perfect low drag orientation would need to be tested in a wind tunnel, but in theory, the crossbars and accessories should follow the contour of the Cybertruck roofline (minus a degree or two angle of attack, so that the accessory will have down force on the rack, and NOT a lifting force that would apply pressure to the restraints).
But level to the road would not be the most efficient set up.
