For “Dual Motor” reservation holders only.

We are just over a month away from the official pricing announcement for the Cybertruck trim levels.

If a standard battery pack Dual Motor Cybertruck MSRP’s for $79,900 are you still following through with your purchase?

No, at that price for the dual motor. The tri motor ok but not the dual. Payment is very important since we already have the Model Y P.
I hope that elon was able to get it done where all his customers are taken care off, specially early reservation holders from a couple years ago like myself.??

Yes, and personally I think that all signs point to a 69-79k dual motor

I hate to break it to you, but I think the Cybertruck will be priced at least initially near the Model X and S. Let me further clarify what I mean by this. What sets the CT apart from the Model X? No paint, no soft-closing doors, no falcon-wing doors, and lastly, no driver's display. Both have air suspension... I'm pretty certain the CT will be more robust. It has a larger battery, more cameras, more technology, and rear-wheel steering, but it's supposed to come to market for less than the X or S!?

I don't think it will come to market with 500 miles of range... I want it to, but that's doubtful. It would essentially osborne the X... So unless Tesla has a major revamp of the S and X coming... Tesla has zero incentive to price it cheaper with more range... Only time will tell, but I can't see them bringing a 500-mile CT with all of the features I described at a price point lower than the S or X... Tesla, prove me wrong.

If it's above $65k, not a chance. Even $65k is a hard ask, I'm gonna have to go 72 or 84 months for that @ 4.5-5.5% that my credit union is offering right now.

Right now, I'm hoping for $60k or below. And a traditional wheel option vs the covered yoke, but I guess we'll see what's gonna happen.

I would argue that the only thing in common with the S and X is the air suspension.

The interior and software so far all screams Y and 3.

Refreshed model 3 has basically the same interior and is Teslas cheapest vehicle.

During unveil, Tesla spoke to how the new manufacturing process (giga casts, no paint shop etc.) would streamline builds and lower costs. Im sure that's not all gone

The big difference between the S,X and CT? The S and X were never designed for mass market production.

Elon has stated multiple times that they basically only make those for sentimental reasons

I think it's an awful question. Anyone who even mildly hints at willingness to pay such a bloated price, is asking for it. What, you don't think Tesla keeps an eye on CTOC?

You mentioned that the interior resembles the Y and 3. Is this because of the layout of the screens? Keep in mind that the Cybertruck is set to launch with the largest screen Tesla has ever produced, just under 19 inches. It's also introducing Tesla's first powered Frunk, along with rear-wheel steering.

Additionally, there's a new manufacturing process and a suite of cameras that no other Tesla has. Yet, despite all these advancements plus what i mentioned previously, it's still expected to be cheaper? I'll reserve judgment until I see it, but I'm inclined to think you might be mistaken. I hope not, but that's my impression for now.

What cameras? You know hw4 cams are out right now right? CT may have 1 more. I was referring to the led lighting, rear screen, lack of driver display.

Powered frunk is the same as powered hatch. No big innovation there. It even looks like a trunk.

RWS is an addition but not a justification for a crazy price. My old prelude had it.

Literally everything you've mentioned besides RWS was already planned. At unveil. With original pricing. When the price mirrored the model Y.

I'd recommend checking out the highland model 3 videos

I've seen the Highland, and it does look impressive. However, it seems to reuse many components from the current generation (Battery pack and motors). In contrast, the Cybertruck is set to feature Plaid motors and the largest battery pack ever fitted to a Tesla. I haven't mentioned its V2G and some of the other exclusives. This is a advancement in what Tesla has placed on any vehicle to date.

What makes you think CT will use plaid motors? We've seen no confirmation of this Maybe 1 variant will.

A big battery pack is expensive but once again, that was already considered at unveil. Plus rumors say highest range right now will be in the 300s. Which likely wouldn't require a much bigger pack.

Plus, if the battery day stats are to be believed, batteries are getting cheaper.

V2G hasn't been confirmed either. If anything Elon has said no multiple times.

And normal plugs in the bed were already considered at unveil.

Semi unveil said it and CT will utilize essentially the plaid motor

true enough, that isn’t definitive that ALL trim levels will. statement can still be true if only one trim uses them (eg the ‘performance’)

People your are forgetting using a whole new 800v architecture with 1 mw charging capabilities.

The design and r&d with that alone must've been massive, prob co developed with the semi. Stainless steel is still way more expensive now then first debut in 2019. When the whole car is covered in it add significant cost. Like they can't even try to replace the stainless steel with a cheaper material.

Would be interesting if they offered stamped steel with paint. Would it be worth $10-15k less. But initially I think dual motor will be right under $80k for the first 6-8 months. To me that price is fairly accurate to competitors pricing.

oh for sure

that said and separately:

if a vehicle with the weight, tire size, and drag of the CT are to achieve anything like the previously stated speed and power stats, that‘s got to come from somewhere

can’t imagine you can just plop eg the Model S standard motors in a CT and get there
