So I have a bone to pick with people on here… all I’ve been hearing is how massive this CT is, when in all actuality it’s prettier small compared to all the other trucks I’ve owned. I feel that all these people saying the truck is so massive, never owned a full size truck before. It’s was a bit underwhelming for me. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still getting it, but please stop calling this thing massive… it’s not.

it was fun seeing it at the expo though.

Oh and don’t forget to go test-drive the Tesla for your free $50 buckle!!!

Sorry pal. I’ve been calling it an avalanche for a bit but I get it. Goldilocks size I think.

Yep from the latest rounds of pictures I've seen, it's "tight". I like the minalism as it also cuts cost and weight. There's two ways to improve aerodynamics and range

1) make the frontal area smaller (which is what they have done with compact packaging)
2) reduce the drag Cd, by covering up the bed, flattening the windscreen and rear roof for laminar flow, bulging the sidwalls etc.

They've got all the important dimensions right, cabin size, enough bed area (but lost volume in the sails), and under 6m and 3500kg for overseas.

Got that and the socks as well… Tesla had the best swag there…and gave it all away.

some of that

also some apparent inferiority complex compelling them to try to convince themselves and others how big it is - like they’re helping Tesla out

irony being, Tesla didn’t make it big for a reason, which reason Tesla will be trying to sell come Nov. 30

this is not a big truck. As Musk himself said, it’s “small-ish” on the outside, and then surprisingly roomy on the inside.

It's a made up internet shopping day. Tesla doesn't really do cutsey anniversary stuff, or they'd have just thrown it out on the OG birthday.

Cyber Monday would have been cringey "babe happy one week anniversary" vibes to me.

(Also I'm busy that day buying a Keurig for $5 off on Temu)

Out of all the changes since the reveal the size reduction is the worst. I think they mostly realized they needed to shed weight. It’s when the bed went plastic, they lost the 6th seat, we haven’t seen the tailgate ramp. I bet they aimed to shaved off 500lbs at some point. They probably needed to to hit their range estimates in my opinion.

Agreed, given the recently leaked curb weight it does appear the size reduction came about as a necessity more than a deliberate choice.
