With my MY tore size made a huge difference on how much you can tow. And Tesla actually does not recommend towing anything with one of their wheel options, which seems counterintuitive that you would offer a “tow package” and allow it to come with a set of wheels that cannot tow.

Anyone have a pic of the 20" & 18" wheels without the wheel covers? The 20 wheel covers look okay, the 18's look like geriatric velcro shoes

18 inch MUCH lower tire cost versus larger
Better off road
potentially better range
Higher probability of finding a snow tire option

20 inch may look better cosmetically and can provide more performance less body roll due to likely lower sidewalls versus smaller wheels

Where a larger wheel has a shorter sidewall and bettrr cornering, a smaller wheel has a larger sidewall, more flex, theoretically smoother ride as the side wall flex absorbs some bumps

I’m curious and intrigued by these purported 18” rims.

We’ve never seen them, which in its own maybe isn’t all that odd.

More odd is that the CT brake rotors we’ve seen don’t *look* like they’d allow that reduction in wheel size

Why are these being called "wheels" and not "wheel covers" or "hub caps"?

Who the heck pays for "premium hub caps?"

Wheels should be the metal circles (aka rims) under the tires.

These are not wheels!

Tesla has got to know this....

There is a reason why you never see hubcaps on pickups. The exception being baby moons. Black Star hubcaps littering highway shoulders will be a cringe joke to CT owners. Our local extremely narrow one mile long bridge in Hood River, OR is already littered with mirrors and fender flairs.
