I was looking forward to the 14,500lbs tow rating. I own a toy hauler with a 9800lbs weight and a 12800lbs GVWR it has a 1350 tongue weight. With 14500 tow rating that was a good buffer zone. I’m seeing the 11000 lbs tow rating but no tongue weight . Has anyone heard of any upgrade for tow rating or tongue rating? Also if I keep GVWR under 11000lbs but the trailers GVWR 12800lbs am I legal or can your towed vehicle not exceed towing vehicles max tow rating?

Yes I am all ears! I was going to use the CB to replace my 21 F250 6.7 Tremor as I don't haul to far but seeing the tow numbers I hope it is up to the task!

I have a very similar trailer...and facing the same challenge / concerns...im assuming that it's the actual weight of trailer you are pulling and not the maximum possible.

I also wonder if the tow rating is reduced even more if you have the extended battery installed?

will certainly cram down your payload Lb for all, and I’d think also reduce tongue weight by some proportion of the weight of the pack

Is 11,000 lbs really the limit?
In their promotion video, it seemed like they sure were towing a multiple factor of that at the launch event.
Yes, I understand that there is a difference between towing something for miles for years vs a few hundred of feet once. But wouldn't you think it would be perfectly fine towing a few more lbs?
Anybody have a connection with a Tesla engineer that worked on that feature?

Yes. Its the limit.
They didn’t reduce the specs just for fun.

Air bags have load limitations as does the “frame” and suspension
