Do the foundation trucks include fsd or just fsd ready? I'm sure it's been posted elsewhere, but unsure.
They have FSD

I got my pre order. I ordered on day and hour one. I’m nervous about the payment. Feel like I’m a fool if I do, and a fool if I don’t. I want to keep it long term, but if I can’t. Does anyone “think” it the foundation edition will hold its value well?
I generally agree with the uncertainty that everyone has stated. But I’ll throw in one additional variable. If production does not meet demand and we truly do have a multi year backlog of buyers. Then any version of the cybertruck could be more valuable than the initial purchase price. With tri motor delivery dates already in the second half of 2024, I think it is very likely that at least the tri motor will increase in value as there will be people still waiting on their chance to buy.

I drive a lot. Like my 2018 Model 3 has 102,000 miles. So i'm screwed with retaining value haha. But I do have another Cybertruck reservation around 280,000. So my original thought was get one early, and when my second reservation comes along decide If they made any changes/improvements, sell and get the new one. Doubt I'll make much back due to how much I drive and the Foundation premium.

But I'll at least enjoy the truck a LOT since I'm in it so much.
I’m in the same boat. I have a foundation cyber beast on order. I also did another pre-order in the middle of 2022, which is around 2 million in line. I figured the second order could take 4 to 5 years for delivery. But if they’re only producing 250,000 cyber trucks a year, it could be up to eight years. Whenever I got the second truck, it would most likely be an upgrade somehow and I could replace the Foundation as my daily.

And i would've ordered the first minute I got the invite too, except 318 mile range is just not going to cut it
I’m getting the range extender to go along with my foundation, cyber beast. I figure 6 to 9 months and I’ll have a cyber truck with 400+ miles of range.

I agree there’s a lot of extra cost in getting to the miles he promised. So is the invite still sitting in your Tesla account? Some were saying there’s no option to decline. Do you know what happens if you pass?
Wish I would. Am trying to find out more where one lands after declining

Here's My prediction: Elon hates not being right, so not too far in the future battery tech will have improved enough to be able to get to the 500 mile mark. Thats when I will jump on it.
(The range extender might never even happen)
I used to think the same thing you did. But my opinions have evolved based on the interviews with Monroe. Let’s take the 340 miles of range currently on the dual motor. You would have to get a 50% increase in battery capacity to get the range you want. I do not believe they are going to change the architecture and increase the number of cells in the truck. So you’re stuck with an massive evolution in cell technology.

One of the thing cvalue13 has been trying to convince me of this point for a month. I think he was right with the base truck. BUT, he was also wrong since they gave us a battery extender. Ha! I guess I’ll still give it to him, more right than wrong.

my only two problems with this roll-out of Foundation units** to date

(1) absent clear guidance from Tesla, this “what happens to my spot if I decline” amounts to Tesla sending out emails that go: “CONGRATULATIONS! YOU’VE BEEN SELECTED TO MAKE A SOPHIE’S CHOICE!

(2) people who showed the earliest confidence in the CT and FSD, “locking in” FSD in the pre-order @ $7K, are now getting the worst deal on FSD/Foundation value

I rate these as my two problems because the only explanations for these two specific outcomes are of the nature of (A) it’s an inept oversight with negative effects on the biggest supporters, or (B) it’s a consequence by design, to force the biggest supporters to be up-sold

other “issues” or gripes with the roll out of these Foundation units** I find either unavoidable, justifiable from a corporate perspective, or ultimately better for customers (even if it seems counterintuitive now)

**I’ll add a third item, top of the list, if this specific no resale provision on the Foundation units ends up also applying to normal retail units

Especially since more cells in one truck, means less cells for other vehicles to sell. I don't forsee them increasing the battery size. So an evolution in battery tech is the only thing. I don't see that happening in the next 5 years, especially in how 4680 cells were not as evolutionary. Just my take.

My offer to order Foundation is no longer visible in the app. Maybe they did sell out. Colorado RN11274...
Same for me. I am in CA though. I guess I should have jumped on it the moment I saw it... I posted a separate thread

Update for me RN1275 -- I lost my chance to pre-order the founder edition. I finally decided to F it and go for it. And the page was gone. Though I am sad. there's a lot of other factors that, its probably for the best. 100k for the car I was hoping to pay 70k max for (with FSD) is a lot. I can wait, and I didn't want to sell it (for more) anyway. I want to be a holder.
But that doesn't make me feel better lol.

I placed my order. I am in WA state, RN11274XXXX.

I am a bit shell shocked right now, excited, and a little nervous. Considerably more then I have ever spent on a vehicle. I am glad I had discussed it with the wife ahead of time and already done an analysis to make sure we could keep it within our monthly budget for vehicles.

Now to settle in to wait for the several months it will probably take before Tesla produces the vehicle.
Another Washingtonian on the ordered list!! Congrats!
