The package that's offered for 20k is actually pretty good if you already wanted FSD which is still 12k on every other Tesla, so that's only 8k of additional options that many folks will want.
Hell, there's even other posts about the FS lasting longer due to demand.

What about those that don’t qualify for the $7500 and don’t lock down the FSD price? People have different situations.

The majority of Cybertrucks sold would be for people that qualify for the $7500 tax credit. I would say 90% of people buying the dual motor would qualify for the credit. The majority of people buying the $100,000 dual motor should not buy it, but banks love to give big loans to young people making $120,000 a year to spend well above their means.

I am saying it would help out more people to have a $79,990 Truck and have a $15,000 package that are things that would allow to keep the credit available for everyone else. The $15,000 package could include FSD and Powershare. This would allow people to lock down FSD prices and also allow people to receive the credit.

The 20K package is not a good deal. I would qualify for the tax credit if they just threw on FSD and Powershare, which are not physical accessories attached to the car.

This 20K package is a an early access fee. I am paying it because I might not get a chance to buy the car until 2025. Tesla is doing us no favors with this "pretty good" deal. There are a lot of people, and I am one of them, that will pay this fee to take ownership of the car early. What happens if they can't install Powershare at my home? Do they give me the units to just sell on the secondary market?

Where do you people come up with these numbers? You are welcome to hypothesize 60K CTs in 2024 but you surely don’t ‘know’, any more than anyone else, and you should say so up front.

There is already a production ramp projection Excel leaked weeks ago.

I got the invite, but that's not what I signed up for.

Tesla needs to see that people will not play this game - especially after already waiting 4 years!

The sooner people stop going for FS, the sooner Tesla will send out invites for normal AWD configurations.

FS is an effort on Tesla's part to stop scalping. If you are willing to pay a sclaper, youll need to pay Tesla.

as far as powrrshare goes, you could have ordered the AWD But you chose not to. That was your choice.

I completely agree! I received a FS invite, considered it, then decided not to. If you have the $$$ go for it. I’m not paying an extra $20k for an already $20k overpriced truck that doesn’t have 500 miles of range.

The Porsche Taycan Turbo S is ONLY Taycan that can match the CB 0-60 time at 2.6. It takes them 750hp/560kw to do it. It leaves them with 222 miles of EPA range. And for that Porsche gets a STARTING price of...

No one is questioning if it makes financial sense - selling fewer products at higher prices... duh.

The issue is that they are not actually honoring people's place in the line.

Imagine waiting in line for an iphone , or a pair of sneakers and when you got to front, you're told "pay 25% more than you planned or we'll take the next in line"... That's exactly what's happening here.

That would be more true if everyone was given an option to pay 25% more. To me it’s like watching folks that got in line 3 days after you getting their phones or shoes without anyone even acknowledging you were there.
