I’ve been brainstorming this question, and here are a few of the metrics I would consider using if I was in charge of the delivery at Tesla. Unclear on the legality of a few of these…

If I were Tesla I would consider using a LLM or other transformer model to evaluate the below variables and help me create clusters of most preferred buyers. If this was done, then the results would be inconsistent at best…

1. What state do you have in your address in the Tesla app?
2. What state do you have in your address in Tesla.com?
3. Do you own or rent your home? How much is it worth?
4. What type of work title do you have? EG engineer, manager, director, vp, C level?
5. Do you have a X account?
6. Do you have a premium subscription to X?
7. How long have you lived in Your current home?
8. Do you have a LinkedIn account? And are you active on LinkedIn?
9. Are you a business owner?
10. Do you have another Tesla?
11. Have you gotten dinged when using FSD?
12. Did you log into Tesla.com to check your order? And how often?
13. Did tou enable all communication from your Tesla account?
14. How many miles do you put on in 1 year of driving your Tesla?
15. How often do you supercharge?
16. Do you have Tesla Solar?
17. Do you use Tesla electric?
18. Have you ever tried to use the referral program?
19. Do you use Tesla insurance?
20. Have you had any wrecks in your Tesla?
21. Did you recently visit a Tesla store?
22. Have you ever had service done with Tesla? What was the interaction like?
23. What is your preorder number
24. Did you preorder more than 1 vehicle
25. Did you preorder a tri, dual, or single?
26. Did you preorder FSD?

Absolutely nailed it. I think perhaps if you ask the ones that have received a foundation invite you would find that the majority of them have had successful referrals. Even more bonus points if your referrals also have CyberTruck reservations.

But yea I'm in CO and have been skipped too. They probably know I couldn't afford foundation.

That is pretty wild. Meanwhile people in the northeast (LONG way from CA/TX) and reservation numbers in the 113s are getting invites to spend an extra $27.5k

Good news is once they get through the thousands of Foundation Series trucks you will hopefully get your spot in line.

Show us where that claim is coming from. Nothing on the orders list here indicates that.

It doesn’t appear that anyone here knows what algorithm Tesla is using to make offers. We can reasonably guess that geography is involved but it does seem mysterious. That said most of the RNs we have seen are below yours with only a few above yours.

I am guessing here. Did you order the single motor? My hypothesis is they are just taking the orders of the rn's that ordered dual and tri.

1) What CT model did you specify on original reservation?
2) Do you currently owned a Tesla?
3) How far in miles is your closest service center.

Having waited months and years for three Teslas I feel your frustration. But I eventually got them all and they were wonderful.

Lots of people are waiting. I get that. I don't get why someone why order numbers 10s of thousands behind mine would get an invite before mine. I know a couple first hand that are not active on these forums. Rivian guys, that have gotten the invitation. None of them have had a single Tesla thing ever, and their order numbers are well behind mine.

Much of the reasoning members here are throwing around are just not. Tesla is without a doubt skipping some and preferring others. This wouldn't be as big of an issue if these reservations were not $ down reservations. We all paid for our spot in line, and waited 4 years. There is 0 excuse for the way this is being handled. Tesla is just shotgunning this whole thing, and its not a good decision.

Absolutely everyone here should be able to agree on that. This should not be a controversial take.

There was never an ordered list, just a reservation with no guarantees.

Tesla has always delivered based on trim being manufactured and geographic are being delivered too next.

I doubt they have much other criteria. I’ve owned 6 Teslas and ordered the tri-motor day 0, but I’m in Alabama.

I want mine too, my expectations are sometime in 2024.

I would definitely get a Foundation series if I get the invite.

Lots of good theories here… I’m sorry, but it ? is the fact that when you placed your order you lived in Hawaii. It got locked into the RN system that way and now you might be F’d until Hawaii deliveries happen. I’d try and call somebody and have that looked into.

I think we’re all a bit over sensitized to the trolling, feeling are facts crew, and negative nancy’s … not you specifically just in general. This is a great community, but phrasing of questions can bring the hate … most of us are enthusiasts …

I have not been offered the option to order (yet).

i reserved a tri-motor with FSD, I live in Northern California, own an M3 and an MY, own stock, etc. I do not qualify for the IRA. My RN is in the 11302 range. i remain hopeful.

Sure, I am a bit frustrated, but I am really more anxious, and definitely not angry. If you think about it, if Tesla weren’t for the most part taking RNs in order, they wouldn’t be remotely close to most of us - for who knows how long. Maybe them pushing into relatively larger numbers here and there is intended to give others of us hope when so many people are angry and talking about dropping out. I can see it both ways.

I was a first day reservation holder for a M3 in 2016 and took delivery in June of 2018.

I got one of the early ones (28 K M3 made) and when I was offered I was just happy to get it.

Later on I found out that Tesla was pushing M3's up to Ontario, Canada because we were having a provincial election and the new government was threatening to end a generous 14 K CAD EV rebate, which they did.

If Tesla had this in their algorithm in 2018 to pick who gets a car, I would imagine that the algorithm for the CT is equally complex and will have many variables that we will never know about unless a tesla employee spills the beans.
