What does this mean? Anymore options/changes before I fill this out? Is my order actually “in” or is this another step affecting my delivery?

The tasks are simple… drivers license.. if you want to do a trade in and apply for the finance part… not sure but I feel it kinda pinned me into finance terms which typically means 30 days but who knows

Hit start and keep going. You owe $1,000 to place your order.

I do think they paid the 1k already because when you haven't it says start designing. Not just start.

Pretty sure every normal person who has ordered is stuck on this spot. I ordered mine on the 10th and just waiting on VIN to continue with the other tasks. Congrats by the way

Yeah, I was hoping for a VIN within 10days or so but seeing no one else here has gotten one has tempered my anxiety. It’s crazy how the went from the $250 to 1k deposit in like a one week timeframe.

I’m looking forward to the early orders like yours to start receiving VINs so us later orders can start getting excited. You order the Beast or AWD?

Think the $1k is to shake out people on the fence so they are not doing logistical planning and shipping trucks places to have someone say "nevermind"
The VIN wait is painful and just about everyone other than a few Tesla employees and influencers are in the "waiting for VIN" line.
You get to wait for Christmas all over again :)

The 1k goes towards truck as you know but was hoping it would help with final processing and a quicker pick up. Also showing I'm serious so they would be too and give to us and not just employees.

My hope is for tomorrow. Even though the price range for our trucks is over the $80k limit for the $7500, still, the rebate laws change tomorrow. Hope my speculation turns out to be correct????????

Until Tesla is actually delivering to non-Tesla employees in 2024, we won't know if Tesla wiggled thier CT MSRP to accommodate the rebate. Enough of the "Foundation Edition" is software, or software based, that I think they may have something up their sleeve.

I wish you were right but I dont see there being anything up their sleeve for the foundation edition. They were only like $10 away from the cap without any addons. Foundation's tire upgrade by itself would put it over.
