I think Ryan was just being respectful to the Cyberbeast‘s owner who just paid $120k for the vehicle. He borrowed the vehicle for an entire day to review.
Exactly, this is not a press car from Tesla that could be trashed by Mat Watson.

Maybe earlier, I can sell (if Tesla has a higher bid) and order a base or 2nd tier CT model.
No, I meant why would you wait 4 years for the truck to finally arrive to enjoy and only make a small profit on. But if your plan is to get another one then I understand. Do you have a second RN already or you gonna get one soon?

My brother has one and he said he is no longer interested and buying a Tundra hybrid instead. I can pursue the order as a 2nd name in the registration.

Just watched the video and thought it was useful. He's not a guy that's normally overly positive. Watching it made me want a Cybertruck even more, if that's possible: regular stainless steel finish, dual motor, standard black interior.

pretty disappointed at the CB's built quality. That alcantara dash looks like its straight out of west coast customs
There's nothing wrong with that dash. Well, the Alcantra part of it anyway, why they went to that light grey for the part closest to the passengers I'll never understand.

The black Alcantara in my 2015 Model S is the nicest dash material I have seen in a car yet. No reflections on the windshield. I love it. My old LEAF had a light grey piece just above the speedometer that drove me nuts creating reflections on the windshield. I ended up wrapping it in vinyl fake carbonfibre (not because I like the carbon fibre look, just that was cheap and roughly the same dark grey as the rest of the dash.
Alcantara has the light diffusing, non reflecting, properties similar to suede or velvet without the price tag of suede or the cheezy look of velvet.

Nothing wrong with the Alcantara dash, it is just poorly made.

It's not Tesla who popularized fast cars, bootleggers in the 1920's were famous for hopping up their engines to outrun the law but mostly for bragging rights (and because they could afford to own the fastest car). Eventually we got NASCAR, an American pastime.

The culture of fast cars is deeply embedded in American history, even when cars got computerized fuel injection, people were still going to extraordinary means and expense to eek out another one or two tenths of a second.

Electric cars are naturally quick due to their prodigious amount of torque off the line. Youtubers are capitalizing on America's need for speed to get more clicks. Accusing Tesla of relying too heavily on marketing is ignoring the elephant in the room; legacy automakers who spend billions of dollars of new car buyers money trying to convince them to buy their own products. Tesla hardly forces their customers to support any marketing and advertising compared to the billions that legacy auto spends on this exact thing.
