I have a FS CT on order and I flip flop daily on the decision to cancel. I am getting completely ripped of on trade-in because Tesla dropped the price of the MY by $20k just two weeks after I took delivery of it. The plan (knowingly inefficient, was to trade-in whenever the CT finally arrived).
But I have a unique issue that I haven't heard discussed. I am pilot. I leave my vehicle parked at the airport for 3-4 days each week. My Model Y (LR) drops 6-7% battery per 24 hour period while I am gone. Some trips I might park at 72% and come home to 50%. Going on vacation for a week, have to leave it off because I am not comfortable driving in the bottom 10% of my battery (maybe it is a pilot thing). If I left it on my battery would be drained to 20% and Sentry mode would shut off.
So my question is this....how much battery drain for Sentry Mode on Cybertruck? Does the larger battery mean it will only be 2-3% or will the larger battery have higher vampire/Sentry drain and end up about the same as the Model Y I own.
On paper the CT and MYLR are about the same with the FS tires.

One of three choices (I leave my MS also at times, like your situation.):
1: Park the CT where there is a level 1 charger is located.
2: Don’t buy the CT.
3: Use a ride share service to get to and from the airport.

Sentry mode while useful, isn’t for leaving it at the airport for long periods of time.

Of course, if you are ONLY asking current CT owners.. IDK(maybe we could add that option to postings.)

Maybe you misread. I wasn't asking about options. I was asking about battery drain on Sentry. So, yeah, this one is for Cybertruck owners that have real info. Thanks though.

Battery drain on all Tesla in sentry mode on , I have Model X , it drains a lot leaving sentry mode on.

It is stupid to even mention the option 2 , pure fanboy answer and un necessary for valid op question

Have you ever calculated your drain/24hr? I would be curious to compare the % drain to battery size and see if the drain meets expectations.

My model x if sentry mode on , loose about 5% to 6% per day.

Sentry mode uses about 1 mi/hr in existing Teslas. that's about 300w. While the Cybertruck uses more power per mile, that's irrelvant.

On a 70kWh battery, and if you arrive at 60% and Sentry turns off at 20% 70000*40%/300/24 is about 2 days.

Since the Cybertruck has a 123 kWh battery and if you arrive at 60% and Sentry turns off at 20%, you get about 7 days.

May have made some mistakes in math, but....
In other words, bigger battery, lasts longer.

Ok. That makes sense. So slightly bigger battery, slightly less drain by percentage. Hopefully that means the even bigger battery of the CT means even less. Would be nice to keep Sentry mode on for an entire week with the CT, especially since it causes so much love and hate. I can see immature people wanting to throw things at the windows kick the panels. I remember when Teslas were new (and even still now although more rarely) they would key the cars.

Yeah, that was my guess. But my question was for someone with a CT already. We don't know if there is something unknown that will cause more drain. More cameras for example? I want real data from a CT owner because we are all just making educated guesses.

I believe there are some indications of bigger and faster computers, and yes more cameras, and yes bigger display to backlight. So the reality may take a few months to surface.

Not sure what airport you use, but for SLC

Yeah, those chargers are completely unreliable. Always full and very often being used by Tesla owners as privileged parking spots with their car parked there not even plugged in.

The Parking Spot has covered EV charging. Check other options on Plugshare.

I park free in the employee parking lot. My question is just about sentry mode and the battery drain. I appreciate the info, it just isn't something useful to me. It would be really helpful to know how much battery a CT burns in 24 hours of Sentry but nobody that has one has posted anything yet.

24hour sitting idle about 1-2% a day
24hours sitting idle with sentry mode 6-7% a day
Cold weather will result in more drain

That's sadly a very common response here i have noticed.
As a non-Tesla owner you are probably not aware of what Sentry Mode does for you and why most people never engage it. I never have on either of my cars.
