I guess shoot first and ask questions later lol.
I agree with everything you are all saying. Day 2 reservation. I still have $1,000 at Rivian and they’ve been bugging me to configure that.
For context, I will use the truck as lifestyle vehicle. Daily driver, deer hunting, hauling my E bike and quad (rip cyberquad), occasionally my 14ft aluminum fishing boat.
I am still going to test drive Rivian in NY and go next door to look from a far at the cybertruck in the showroom. Now they both have $1grand of mine and only one is refundable at this point.

What the rivian price? Is it still the old price?

Surprised Tesla is still quoting Jan-Mar.

We have 900 orders on this site and 8 deliveries so far yet they are saying they can fill a brand new order in the next 10 weeks?
I'm also surprised about that, I was expecting summer or later. They must think they can ramp up fine.

I’m ok if they miss it by a month or 2 lol. More chance for updates.
Rivian reservation is dual so the later prices.

No chance that 80k people passed up. These are passionate owners and this site would be on fire if 80k got emails. I don't think it's random either. Some sort of regional distribution, Tesla current owners, miles, FSD users, etc. There's a method to the perceived madness. I am a current Tesla owner, bought 2 Model S's new, a day one 1127 reservation holder who's never had FSD that lives in Ohio. No email. I will buy when it comes, only the FSD pisses me off, a 10k fee to be early.

My guess is 2000-2500 FS models.

They said Jan - March, with no dates. It could be January 2024 to March 2025.

No it clearly says Jan to march 2024
Meant to be a bad joke. The way they are delivering them, I doubt March is realistic. 2024 will be the year of the FS and I doubt we have many AWD regular deliveries this year.

I got an invite today as did my brother. We're both second day-ers. I'm in Atlanta and he's in KC. I want to pass because I don't care about the FS, just want a basic dual.

My question is....if I pass on the FS, do I lose my place in line? Any thoughts?

Am I the only one that is starting to suspect Foundation Series is a scam? It seems to me it is just a way of forcing anyone that wants to be first in line to pay for very expensive stuff we otherwise wouldn't pay for. FSD for $12,000, hell no. Bi-directional charging at home, cool but not interested. But here we are, forced to pay for it. And here is the kicker. We are paying for it AND NOT EVEN GETTING IT. FSD isn't active and for all we know, it could take years before they add it to CT. I get the feeling the Foundation Series isn't going to be limited at all. They will make a ton of them and milk everyone one of us for every extra penny and we will all be on here two years from now discussing the rumor that FSD is right around the corner.
Yes I agree, Tesla has been developing FSD for years, the owners who paid for FSD, their cars have been depreciated already.
when Tesla changed to vision removed Sensors , those customers are still waiting for advance Summon more than a year.
Tesla already changed Hardware more than 3 times, faster Controller, GPU, and bigger cameras, and going back. It is just a cash grab.
Even their AI dojo computer is already outdated comparing Nvidia new chipset.

It will be very interesting to see how deep into the reservations Tesla will go with foundation invites before trying a new strategy. I have no clue. Hopefully not long enough for my popcorn to run out?
