Electrician came by yesterday and he said Tesla is providing Home Share, Gateway and wall connector I just have to pay for installation. Had no idea the wall connector is included since I already received the mobile connector . Seems like a deal if it’s true , hope the installation is not too costly.

so you've received the truck? I had a Tesla electrician install a second wall at my place yesterday (completed install 1 day too) he said hes installed 3 home share but only Tesla employees are getting them. Wha'ts needed for install is V3Gateway, 200amp Subpanel, Wall Charger and upgraded cable from Main Panel to Tesla Subpanel. Permit, labor approx 4K. All equipment comes with CT AWD FS and Cyberbeast. CT Beast comes with labor included.

Does anyone know if there is already a natural gas generator on an automatic transfer switch can this be installed as a second power option or will that be a super complicated (expensive) installation or just not possible? We have reasonably frequent power outages (despite them having just installed new "outage resistant" electric poles instead of just burying the damn wires like any sane place would do) and I would love it if it first used the CT if it is in the garage, plugged in, and sufficient SOC with the option to fail over to the gas generator if I need to go somewhere or outage is prolonged.

That's what the Tesla electrician said. and that being said at that kind of wattage and amperage flowing from the CT to the system it needs to be able to handle the Amperage. Better safe than sorry I always say.

I installed a propane 13kwh generator with automatic transfer switch. The subpanel is a separate unit and controller. Was not complicated.

Thats not true and presence of a powerwall or even a high quality home battery is irrelevant.

Huh? Very true. You need education
There is no restriction in place for employees only.
there is just an incredibly limited supply of the equipment. These are consequences of a 99th hour decision.
I do not need an education on anything related to procurement or installation of any tesla products

I think I’d rather take the free supercharging. Haven’t heard anything since my initial survey. Took delivery a week ago.
