There is no restriction in place for employees only.
there is just an incredibly limited supply of the equipment. These are consequences of a 99th hour decision.
I do not need an education on anything related to procurement or installation of any tesla products
Tell that to the Tesla Installer who has installed 3 systems to employee only homes....... My source completely blows your non source source out of the water. Man you just hate, angry and can't accept facts can you? get yourself a bao bao tea and take a deep breathe.

Would you mind sharing the Tesla installers name and contact. I have a few questions that I’d like to see if I can ask them. Thanks. I would either see about installing at my house or my in laws depending on some details.

you just need to contact Tesla. they are very willing to answer your questions. The installer didn't give me their number and why would they? what would you like to ask? Maybe I can help?

i probably know the answer.
and it would likely be specific to the Tesla installer.
I’m pretty certain Tesla doesn’t install solar in my area, they do Powerwalls though. In Tennessee, south of Nashville.
I live completely off the grid and do not have or need for my home usage a 200amp service panel.
would I need to upgrade to 200amp home panel then have a 200amp sub panel for Tesla components installed?
I don’t even think Tesla will install this on an off grid house. Their Powerwalls won’t work for off grid living.
Electric vehicles have way more kWh than my home battery storage so it would be a benefit to use PowerShare if needed.

I one day will likely inherit the house and move in there so that is its benefit.

it seems that taking advantage of the powershare being installed instead of supercharging credits would be more of an advantage.

Lastly can the PowerShare components, gateway etc be installed outside?

Electrician came by yesterday and he said Tesla is providing Home Share, Gateway and wall connector I just have to pay for installation. Had no idea the wall connector is included since I already received the mobile connector . Seems like a deal if it’s true , hope the installation is not too costly.
Installation should be under $2,000.

All of my equipment is installed and rated for 0utdoors. Solar would be great on off grid. How elae qould you power ypur place? . If you intend on a powershare with your cybertruck tesla requires the subpanel to be 200amp and of their equipment. Power walls work great by the way.

well, "Riddlericsaid" what electrician said that? You have to know that only Tesla employed peeps will know that answer. Let's see, you get the truck and as of now doesn't come with equipment for home share but when you actually are told you are able to get it they won't install anything without permitting and agreement to be installed by Tesla contractor. Also they will absolutely not just leave you the equipment for you to install. Instead you will get a 6 month free charging option as we've seen with others who were told No your place of residence is not approved to install Tesla equipment.

I do use solar now & lithium batteries for storage. I Love it. It’s likely what got me so into electric vehicles.
I was just stating that Tesla solar is not available in my area so PowerShare may also not be an option.

great! well being that you are getting the CT, I'd hope you are able to get PowerShare equipment. Would be a waste if you couldn't. You will for sure get the cable to share from vehicle to vehicle. Well at least you can install other than Tesla equipment that would make it work if not. It's not proprietary equipment. It's just electricity and wires. Best of luck!!

I wish Tesla would allow non certified people to install Powerwall and equipment.
I understand why they don’t but I have the capability to do those things. And I believe Tesla is not accepting any new installers, at least a few years ago they were not.

Oh! I misspoke then. The $2,000 general estimate is for a qualified electrician to install what has been talked about in a small town. I am sure it’ll the cost be much greater for a Tesla certified electrician in a big city.

I want to install the Home Share and Gateway myself. Will Tesla let me? I just got a quote from an electrician to replace a 40 circuit 200A service panel for $3200. The material comes to $500 for Siemens panel and breakers, the rest is labor. City allows homeowner to do electrical work with inspection.

So far nobody (that we know of) has been sent the powershare equipment. The tesla certified electrician will bring it at the time you pay for install (beast does get $4000 credit towards this install), or you will get free supercharging (6 months for awd, 12 for beast) if you don't agree to those terms.

Understand it has to be a 200A sub panel, not just a 200A panel. Hoping that’s not the case. I have a 200A panel and 60A sub panel, and I don’t know if that will be enough. Hopefully.
