I’m hard of hearing and wear hearing aids. You might think a noisy car wouldn’t matter as much. It is much easier to hear when it is QUIET even with my hearing aids. I wish there was a sound deadening package available to install to deduce road and motor noise. Maybe the motor noise resonates through the exoskeleton ?

I’m very annoyed with the carrots being used in these reviews. Turned this review off as soon as they brought them out. Use a chicken wing or drumstick
it chopped the carrots right in half. I think a better test would be something like a chicken wing.

That was a very discouraging review. I think all of us that are roughly a month or so from delivery date get a queazy stomach watching this. Of all the reviews out there they had major problems with stuff no one else seems to even mention. Like the rattles and squeaks, suspension issues and made a big deal out of A pillar blind spot, Something Munro seemed to express exactly the opposite.
on a hopeful side, it seems to be the pre delivery even beast that they were passing around and not a foundation unit.
I drive fire Engines and Trucks for a living (million dollar rigs). No rearview and lots of blind spots. You need to use your mirrors and be a smart driver.. the Reviews blind spot critique is personal preference vs an actual fault imho. Maybe for some drivers it’s hard, but I guarantee I won’t have any problems .. and I am sure there are many that agree with me. Like I said, they were honest and at times harsh with their opinions (I enjoyed their review), but they have their lense of experience driving cars and other people have theirs.

Take the info like Hand-me-down clothes… take what fits, disregard the rest

All these people taking delivery and posting about it on this site I believe are not people who are ok with being fully honest and telling the truth.

It's likely because they over hyped themselves and spent a ton of money on the truck and don't want to admit it's flaws.

Hopefully real owners will speak up about the interior noise levels, rattles/squeaks, harsh suspension, and the reality is that the rear view video feed is terrible vs a digital rear view mirror like many other trucks have nowadays. Tesla went cheap in that route.

Let's hear some truth from the Cybertruck owners that have their vehicles already, speak up!
Yes, but if you buy first builds (and something never been done before), you have to understand you will have flaws.
I heard about M3 and MY flaws.. especially early builds.. we have one of each from 2023… nary a flaw or panel gap.
You pay for the early models, you get flaws.

I would also say hopefully real owners and critics will have the humility to also admit when the builds get better as well. Gotta swing both ways

I can’t for the life of me figure out why they did wash front camera and not rear. The rear cam will be our only rear view mirror and road grime is bad back there. They built the function but didn’t route to the rear. A silly miss imo.
Out of EVERYTHING… this is so far my only wtf… everything else is just white noise

Ya. Even Denniscw just came out with a video with a lot of negatives. And he’s been pretty positive as he monetizes the cyber clicks. I am really struggling as I’ve put my $1k down and expect I’ll be called up in a couple mos. I love my model S and am all in on EV. I hunt and have a quad and really would benefit from a pickup. I want to love the cybertruck but have to ask myself if I’m looking past the issues because of my emotional investment. With the Tesla charging network opening up to everyone and CT coming in at the same price as the rest, it now demands a hard look at the competition. I know I’m not alone with this anxiety. I never thought I would have wished I waited a week to originally reserve back in 2019 so I’d have more time for this to play out.
Totally fair comment.. trusting a legacy EV build though.. eeek (not saying some aren’t good, but…).

These guys are petrol head wankers. They dislike Elon (highly) and EVs (to a lesser degree). See past reviews of theirs. I knew they were going to be negative before even clicking on the link. BUT even these guys couldn’t avoid being in awe of what was brought to life. That tells me a lot. It’s a crack in their armor.

Nothing about the 11KW of raw power!? I can't wait to roast dinner while blending drinks, watching TV, and welding out in the middle of nowhere.
Just to be clear you cannot offload that much energy in the middle of nowhere

what if, hear me out … you’re just the other side of that coin

Perhaps you’d call it “a Musk-head wanker”

and those of us who know our personal truth is somewhere in the middle, are just glad to hear from anyone who’s not a Musk-head wanker

I personally find TH to have had nothing but reasonable objections to Teslas in the past. They praised the Model S plaid up and down, excerpt for things that became widely known issues (eg brakes and steering at speed in corners). Tesla itself came out and offered fixes for those things, evidencing the legitimacy of those critiques.

which is an example of a corner you’ve painted yourself into:

you say their complaints are just biased “petrol head wanker” comments.

when Tesla comes out with rear camera washers, says they’ve addressed cabin noise further, etc., etc., etc. … kind of leaves TH and Tesla looking like the reasonable ones, but leaves you looking like a Musk-head wanker

oh I am a musk fan boi. Just like you are not really sold on Tesla but oddly seem to spend a lot of time in this forum. We all have are traits and biases. I am just happy to point out the birds of a flock get together. You and others like callsign verga who generally are not gong ho about Tesla loved that TH review. Not a shocker. And I as Tesla fan boi hated giving them $5 (in click). Was disgusted by myself doing it. Really I think we should all have “reputation” marks for where we stand. So that when TH lovers post 2 million comments one can weight it properly against the 5 guys that are fan bois but post very little.
Ps TH loved the lucid. ?. YT title - “2022 lucid air review // Tesla’s Living Nightmare”. You crack me up.

you’re confused

I’m as sold on Tesla as I am any OEM car manufacturer.

they all have their strengths and weaknesses, and I aim to know which is which

I don’t own a Tesla only because I’ve driven trucks for 30 years

Tesla offered the first BEV truck (that I found legit), so I preordered as soon as I could. (Ford merely beat Tesla to delivery.)

I still want to know what this truck is/isnt, and if the end calculus makes sense for me.

Meanwhile, my company is technology adjacent to Tesla and FSD, and so I have ancillary interests in the company and the CT. And this forum I find to be one of the best places for ANY critical thinking on various topics related to Tesla/my industry.

Speaking of critical thinking:

So that when TH lovers post 2 million comments one can weight it properly against the 5 guys that are fan bois but post very little.
You would have loved this forum 12 months or even 4 months ago. Lots of hopium-fueled delusions about Tesla being able to bend rules of physics, sell a truck made out of unobtainium for sub-$50K, etc.

Strangely, that group has grown more quiet in recent months.

You might find a “flock” more to your liking on $TSLA xwitter, where critical thinking is ground upon and people get pats on the back for lolz. (They even have “reputation marks” over there - you’ll love it!)

But if you’re interested in an exercise in critical thinking:

this:

You … generally are not gong ho about Tesla loved that TH review
Does not equal this:

that was the thing of it

having been in the truck a couple of times, i watch some other reviews and quickly get the feeling of "seems like they're either avoiding or not even noticing ... X, Y, Z", so the review loses some credibility.

this one didnt feel like they were pulling any punches, and so i was left with the FAR simpler task of just personally/mentally adjusting for their banter and particular brand of critique

for what it's worth, I think these guys also similarly did one of the fairest (while still being humorous and watchable) early reviews of the Lightning

end of the day, when it comes to gleaming reviews of what's fantastic about the Cybertruck, I've already got Tesla (and it's fans) completely filing the airwaves.

to yin that yang, and triangulate on what in the middle is the more likely truth, i don't mind some critique (that's still pleasant to watch)

End of the day, I also love my mother, but have plenty of critiques of her, and yet feel she’s capable of growth if any expressed critiques are educated, fair, and unbiased.

Point being, you can like and be critical of things - especially if you’d like to see them grow.

Meanwhile, the irony of you fanbois is you’re under some delusion that you help Tesla with your adamant delusions and tribalism absent critical thinking.

Was this one of the prototypes (RC?) or early production CB? The reason I ask is that they mention low build quality inside, that the car rattles, etc, but some of the people on this forum that have taken delivery of AWD CT have said the opposite; build quality superior to their previous Teslas, no rattles, less noise, etc.

Please bear in mind that all of the Cybertruck or any other car reviews are based on opinions.

The only consistent opinion that I have heard is regarding the standard sound system. Everybody says it rocks!!!
