per above, the WT4 is the 400+ mile trim

the WT3 is the 300+ trim
Keep in mind, like Tesla, I would assume wheel/tire options will impact range and the software will reflect a reduced range for larger wheels. 400mi+ is likely on their most efficient tire/wheel option.

This is after 50 miles of driving in LA traffic. Also, this is what it says inside the door.

Looks like it is a 3WT.

Very nice truck for sure. Very smooth driving. I like that it turns the front camera on when you are trying to park. It also has the 360 view. The menus didn't really seem buggy but they just seem like something in a gas car and not a new EV. That would probably be my complaint. It's not tech enough for me. But for people who like buttons and don't care about the tech it's great.

Oh it also vibrates the seat to get your attention which was a little weird. It felt like I was sitting on a PS5 controller haha

Other issue is CCS but they will fix that in the future. It was fun to drive and try it out but I will happily go back to the Model Y next time and still can't wait for the Cybertruck.

I just passed up a car hauler on the 605 SoCal freeway with 5 identical white electric Silverados. Being delivered to Hertz?
You might be right. I just returned the truck to Hertz and they had about 15 of them lined up in the parking lot. All white.

I called Hertz to rent one of the Silverado EVs, and they said they don't have any at the LAX location. Obviously, the Hertz rental call center is misinformed. I am actually already renting a truck from Hertz in LA this week to do some hauling, so this has nudged me to drop by in person and see if I can rent one of these trucks instead. It's annoying that you can't just call the LAX Hertz and talk to someone, though. The LAX location is not convenient to just drop in to schedule a rental for a later date.

Still, I appreciate you posting, OP. This will be cool to test out if I can manage to rent one for a few days.

So I visited Hertz LAX tonight and I can attest that they have a small fleet of Silverado EV WTs. I believe they are all the 3WT version.

I rented one for the next week, and it also had only 9 total miles on it when I received the keys.

I’m really enjoying it so far. I have a RST reservation and a Sierra Denali EV reservation, so I’m looking forward to testing this truck out — even if this WT is the bare bones stock version.

Thanks again for the heads up, OP!

But...but...450 miles range!!!
Make sure you tow a Hummer to the mountains in 30-degree weather at 70 mph before you turn it in and let us know how it goes!
I'm out.. just canceled my CT from 2021. Between the price increase and lower range, I'm going for a Silverado or Alaska (leaning towards the Fisker because don't need a full size truck). Do wish everyone all the best, enjoyed being part of the group.

I've gotten 2 letters from Hertz claiming I never returned the vehicle even though it's been there for 10 days. I guess they are still doing this to people. They have had customers arrested for this. I think this is my last Hertz rental. They need to hire people who can properly process car returns.

I was pulled over by police one time in a rental car, because it was reported stolen. I showed them my rental agreement and they let me go, but it was scary and if the officer wasn't understanding, I imagine it could've been a lot worse.

you got a receipt of drop off right? That's crazy how unorganized their system is with such a simple task.

No receipt. They do it with email. They say leave the keys and go. Done it a bunch of times and never had a problem. The LAX location is horrible. I‘ve used them 3-4 times in the last year and there was always some kind of issue.

Maybe I’ll try Turo again, I only did that once but it was fine.

And they just hired an Ex-Tesla battery guy to help them out of the Ultium hole that they dug.

It really sounds as if they are sucking wind on the batteries. "Customers want Hybrids" aka we can't build enough batteries!
