Hi All. I realize so many are fretting over fingerprints, range, and build quality. I am here to make you feel better. I realize that you'll have lots of questions but I am very busy these days so I won't be able to check this thread all that often.

1. I have owned Tesla's since 2012 and have taken delivery on several as my whole family has them. Sometimes there's a few quality issues but my last Model Y in 2022 was flawless. And again, this Cybertruck delivered January 29, 2024 is absolutely flawless. There is not a single defect!

2. Fingerprints. Jeez, all the worries those youtubers can drum up. I guess they love drama! Windex and a microfiber towel wipes them off easily. Even after they have set a few days. Spray, wipe, gone!

3. Driving is like a dream. I am a truck owner and have owned all the Japanese and USA trucks at some time or another. This Cybertruck drives like a dream compared to any of those.

4. Range. Now you'll be able to sleep at night. I know I lost sleep over the range worries. But wow, Cybertruck is doing well for me. There are no Aerocaps, all terrain tires, temps 45 to 60 degrees. 80% fwy at 60 to 65 MPH. 20% around town. 1000/338 x 123= 363.9 miles. That's like too good to be true!!! This is only a 243 miles of driving sample but I still want to share it with you now, so you folks can be optimistic about your range.

This truck is awesome. Now that I have it I have lost all my apprehension and I absolutely LOVE IT! I think that you will love it too!!

Wow that's better efficiency than my '23 Model Y Performance on 19" wheels... That's crazy to me, are you driving mostly downhill or what lol

lol, to go downhill most of the time, he would have gone steep uphill, consuming lot of battery, unless he took delivery at the top of a mountain, haha!

I don’t even care about the whining range concerns, fingerprint fears, or hauling head-scratchers. I’m just looking forward to driving this piece of the future and I appreciate the positive feedback like this from you lucky sods that got one out of the chute.

I’m a really “kick back driver”. I’m never in hurry. I just leave home 15 minutes earlier just because I hate to rush. I
As I get more miles on this truck, even if range becomes 10% less, it’s still excellent.
My main driver is a Model Y Performance like yours. Lifetime 251 wh/mi. So , as they say YMMV.

Thank you for sharing Gene! You must have amazing restraint with all that power
:)
reminds me of a 2007 Porsche 911 I had - if I drove the speed limit really mellow to the track I would average 27 miles to the gallon then my gas mileage at the track went to 9 miles to the gallon!

Thanks for your post! Driving at 60 to 65 mph on many busy freeways could be considered somewhat dangerous; however, your reported range numbers look great. I am really more concerned with slow DC fast charging on long road trips. Have you Supercharged yet?

Really 60 mph , you really driven 60 mph on a highway ?
how many cars or slower ugly cars passed you ?
And it is very dangerous driving to show the better range on a truck, if you do not drive , the range will be infinite

@Gene - as I already said on the other thread that we were chatting - you just made my day (again).

You took the extra mile to start a new thread to share your real world stats on the range. Thank you for doing it. You definitely put my anxiety to rest.

Enjoy your new CT, and keep sharing your awesome experiences with us. Have fun my friend.

You do know that the speed limits aren't the same everywhere, right? Just as I had to point out when people said oh of course at 70-80mph the range is bad, I guess I have to do the same now on the other end.

I have highways around me that are anywhere from 50mph up to 70mph. And let me tell you, if you go faster than 60mph on the 50mph highway, you're getting pulled over.

I don't know what it is that makes people want to shame each other for what speeds they drive. People come in and say you shouldn't go 79 in a 70, and others say you're going too slow on any highway at 60mph.

How about, don't impede traffic in the passing lane, and don't be reckless. Beyond that, your business is your business. Range reports at 60-65mph are no less valid than range reports at 75-80mph. As long as we are given the speed, which we were here, then we can count each report as an additional piece of data.
