I'd take Elons "sold out" comments with a pinch of salt.

If they are still at 50 a day in December 2024, then, they are in deep trouble (in terms of CT). You are betting they will not fix the production hell this year and I'm guessing they will. My guess is they will be churning out 10k a month in December (or 400 a day).
Well if I am going to take someone's world about Tesla it is going to be Elon.
They are at 50ish a day now, IF they were to get to 400 a day by the very end of this year they may still have a LONG line of Foundation Series if they keep selling those.
400 a day, which I think is optimistic given that Dec is only 280 days, and they have been delivering for 100 days, means they have a long way to go and not long to get there.

Two things are at top of mind on this subject for me.
One, they absolutely Need to get production up to where anyone wanting a CT can be assured they will receive one in a reasonable amount of time. Otherwise, that one year time limitation on reselling a CT will have elapsed and there will be a price effect, not sure which way it would move or for which vehicle, and whether it was a new or used Cybertruck.
Second, in my opinion they should not have new FS and regular versions available at the same time. Based on what I have read both here and on various social media, albeit anecdotal, it appears many if not most who begrudgingly took an FS would switch over to a regular CT instead.

Eeeesh. I dunno dude. I hear what you’re saying but he talks out of his ass on the regular….

It’s hard for me to take a lot of what he says about production and timelines seriously.

That being said, I’m not smrt so there’s that…. ?

Fact is, many buyers of vehicles over $100K don't get tax refunds, they owe money each year because they make a ton of cash and no matter what, will owe money.

If someone is waiting on a tax refund to decide on a vehicle that's six figures, I'll politely suggest that it's probably a vehicle that's not financially smart to purchase for them.
I'm sorry, but you are using a lot of terms incorrectly here.

If you make over something like $30,000, you probably owe taxes.
It's the same as someone who makes over $100,000 per year.
BUT, the IRS makes the company that you pay for take out a portion of your income every paycheck. I believe that it's an IRS form W4 that you submit to your employer that impacts the amount that is take out every paycheck. You can increase or decrease the number as you desire.

An IRS refund occurs when your W4 was set to take out too much each paycheck and the IRS owes you back what you overpaid.

The current Federal Program provides for tax credits, not refunds. And it changed this year so that the credits come off the price of the car when it is sold.

So back to your first sentence, tax refunds are a personal choice driven by the number that you put on the W4 forms. I want more money each month, so I tell them to take out less. If you want a refund, tell them to take out more. That has NOTHING to do with how much taxes you pay or EV Credits.

Unfortunately it's all too common though, and how people get themselves into crazy debt over their lives. Buying a $100K truck on less than $250K+ annual income is crazy to me, and that's on the low side. But it seems common nowadays I guess.
Living in the OC where the price of everything is so high is crazy to me. It's so crazy that you seem to think that it takes a $250k income to buy a $100k truck.

Where I'm at, I can buy a mansion for the price that you pay for a garage.

Does anyone have any evidence FS invitations were ever being sent out in a linear fashion?

Because this is what I see (from Invites tracker thread):
1708092016313.png

Seems like one wave, 12/8-9, with each subsequent mini-wave (or promotion) merely filling out nonstarters from the previous.

Multiply by 13 (only 1 in 13 orderers submit in thread above) and we get:
1708093289130.png

Meanwhile, ~33-unit daily production rate also seems to match what 66 days seems to have produced so far, roughly 2200 units. So hopefully yesterday's 70 was an attempt at a double.
You might be Correct! I was just at a Supercharger with my CT and another CT pulled in with Manufacture plates and (4) Tesla employees. In conversation one mentioned “FS is done” Seems like a credible source to me.

It seems very likely that they will offer the same interior trim and tires as a option even when the Foundation series ends.

There are those on the forum who got an invite and didn’t configure/order. Do they still have the opportunity to configure in app?
Yep, unfortunately I still can order a FS.. I check
Every day with fingers crossed that a Non-FS option opens up.

AWD could start in May and Beast in 2025 using the latest invite info, but I'm sure AWD FS will also eventually have a late 2024 delivery as they keep sending out FS invites.

I asked a Tesla rep who I called to adjust my down payment amount. Told me that CT Beast production will start end of February. He saw my RN 11275 and said I would likely take delivery middle of March.

It's on my profile, near Atlanta GA. $1M buys a lot of house here.

5 times the size for the same price. And it's 20 years newer.
