Could be someone won't know about it being there, but it is pointed out in a zillion youtube videos anyway...

I've owned three trucks that came without even having a towing hitch receiver, and it was a expensive pain to add it to each of them.

Two were F-150 and the other was a F-100. So certainly not all trucks (especially older ones) even have hitches.

I’m pretty sure the hitch receiver being pushed back 2” is for off-roading and having a better angle.
Exactly why I like that recessed receiver. My rapid hitch has 2 holes for a hitch pin, about 2" apart - I usually use the hole that keeps the hitch closer to the truck, so with CT I use the other hole if needed, shouldn't be an issue! Bigger issue, having to take the hitch off instead of leaving it in all the time because it will likely hit the ground in entry mode. But I'll get used to it, probably make a foam holder for the hitch in under-bed storage.

In regards to the cameras you are right they’ve never allowed a 3rd party access to their system but what about creating your own trailer camera system?
The recessed receiver may also be to help aerodynamics bringing trailer another couple inches closer. No idea if that’s the case, could also be off-roading. At speed, every inch or two is going to have a big impact on drag.

Also helps with maneuverability. That’s part of the strategy with the ProPride and Hensley hitches.

Wow! You're right. Those mirrors are terrible, not just for towing, but normal use. That would be a great aftermarket product, especially if they included spot mirrors. (Comment from a driver of fire trucks for >30 years.)

EXCELLENT review!!!!

I have a 2023 diesel (<gasp>) RAM 3500 dually for my heavy hauling/towing. (Fully outfitted & cost more than the LR CT.)

The only other option would be to have a rearview mirror with a selectable digital image. One of the best features of my RAM. And, yes, the optional in/on trailer cameras are worth their weight in gold.

Patiently waiting for my VIN ahead of "late Feb early Mar" delivery. Not holding my breath.

Now I can't wait for Version 2! Will have to upgrade for sure!

Went out and measured my UTV for comparison... it's 8" in from back of tailgate. Yes that's a bit far to reach... so now 2" doesn't seem that bad. But need to check it on my Silverado next...

Good points but electric doesn't lend itself for towing, despite the high torque, the range get absolutely destroyed. If you're going to tow, don't bother with a cybertruck, get yourself a gas or diesel instead. Cybertruck is more for fun, show and utility but not for towing

I hope so. All I’d ask is that they have different variants of the CyberTruck. One variant could be a their “work truck” which has certain accessories and extended range.
This almost deserves a thread of its own. 'Cause it opens up a whole can, the first bit being: Where are they going to put the extra cells to get more range?

I had a whole thread asking if people would take less headroom or less clearance, and people actually went for less headroom!

Tesla - once they're no longer cell constrained overall - does need to do something like this, tho.

But will it be a Cybertruck?

Because... Basically, what people seem to want is a Semi cab they can snap their RV or other backpack worktruck stuff.

The thing is, once you're trying to drag a big trailer around, you want the front to be big, bulbous and mesh tightly with your trailer to get the most aero and hence, the most range from your battery.

Good points but electric doesn't lend itself for towing, despite the high torque, the range get absolutely destroyed. If you're going to tow, don't bother with a cybertruck, get yourself a gas or diesel instead.
Sure, in the short term get gas. But in the long term, we want to be energy independent, efficient, cost effective - you will want to electrify everything.

EV still can tow just not the way we used to tow. If don't mind stop every 2 hours to charge, CT is total fine for towing…

Maybe the way we used to tow is not a healthy way, e.g i once towed a trailer from chino ca to Seattle wa no stop except refueled once, but it was really tiring.

ButterEV - I've enjoyed your videos.

I also have a couple of fork trucks, and thought you did a great job driving yours in the loading videos.

And of course people will use the cyber truck to tow... Woodrick said they won't? I guess he said 70% won't even know what's under the box... Nope, don't agree. Owners are more informed than that.

I especially like the way it can raise up and lift the trailer, when hooking up. I'd like to try that....
Thank you I appreciate the kinds words and you watching my video.

I love the air suspension and how it adjusts to the load. So satisfying
