The VINs and production numbers are not adding up. It seems like we should be reporting much higher VINs after 83 days of production (assuming 12/1 start). VIN 1700 is about the highest I've seen here. I've assumed the first 400 VINs were pre-12/1 for testing. (1700-400)/83 days = 16 CT/day. If production is 30 CT/day for 83 days, plus 400 pre-production, we should be seeing VINs upwards of 2,800. Hope this is the right thread. Maybe this should be posted on a VIN thread. I suppose it doesn't matter much as it is fun to see the early guys get their FSCTs.

Tesla will take payment on delivery day, but I am just getting the payment stuff out of the way. I want to enjoy the CT and not deal with the money stuff on delivery day.

I think this just shows my assumptions are not correct. If you use 2280/83=23 CT/day since 12/1. Maybe production is that low on average. I think only Tesla knows. Again. as long as we get our CT sooner than later it doesn’t matter much.

the production isnt linear, in december the rate was much lower then it is now, plus they dont work on sundays only 1 shift 6 days a week (till Q2 then a second shift is coming online) for even if your calculation were accurate (which i dont think it is) you would need to subtract almost 2 weeks off that number to account for those days
