If we were required to put down 20%, I would feel much more frustrated, but spending a measly $100 that one can get back doesn't entitle anyone to anything other than getting that deposit back if they ask for it back. No entitlement means no frustration for me.
Incidentally, the people who ordered the Roadster paid the full $250k or $50k for the Founders and normal edition respectively. They are getting the same treatment us future Cybertruck owners are.

By your post :
1. May not even make a dual motor
2. Quad may be $200,000
3. May never meet order quantity.
4. A work truck that voids its warranty by visiting a worksite.

People be so amazed by elementary school math tricks...

I suppose this is a case of, "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."

I ordered the 2nd day of the Cybertruck presentation & if I follow the reservation number I have from the # 1 reservation holder to mine, I'm +- # 28,000!
So… if you were to get a delivery notice in November, how long would you have to drive it until you felt you could part with it at a PROFIT?
And how big a profit?
And I’m so proud of you (& jealous!)!

PLEASE have a FANTASTIC TIME!
and only reply if it sparks joy!

Thanks for contributing to mine!
Ty

Since I see this is your first comment here, I offer you a hello and welcome to our therapy/speculation group.
In answer to your questions, there are several individuals here on this forum who "reserved" the first night. Some of us then later elected to reserve a 2nd Cybertruck in hopes of getting our early edition and selling it for a small profit to cover a more expensive 2nd reservation. It's all speculation and nobody KNOWS how this will play out.

Cheers, Joe

I was thinking more like 2026. 18 months from production is no bad. Specially if it starts the end of this year. Thank you Jesus

I'm 216,000 in line. Back in 2020, I looked up my res number and was told August 2023. Back then, I dismissed it as a crazy far out date. Now, it seems pretty accurate. That would put you around September 2023?

Hate to say it, but it’s pretty unlikely Tesla will have 200k trucks made by September next year. Typically takes about a year to get production up to full speed.
