The brakes will be identical between the Beast and the Dual Motor. While the Beast weighs a little more than 200 additional lbs, and another ~15 mph extra on the top end, it would not be cost effective for Tesla to cheap out on the brakes of the Dual Motor, just because they could. The real thing that defines needed braking power is the high GVWR, and both vehicles share the need to bring heavy loads to a stop.

Having different brakes requires more part numbers, more inventory, more manufacturing contracts, etc. Tesla tries every step of the way to be as capital efficient as possible in order to be able to offer consumers the most value for their money. Keeping part counts low is one effective way to help achieve that.
Agreed, mostly, with a nit to pick. In fact, both vehicles have the same GVWR, just that the beast carries around more of it when otherwise empty. So they would need the same brakes since the brakes are spec'd for the fully loaded truck. Beast accelerates faster but it's speed and weight (I.e., momentum) that determines braking needs, not how quickly it gets to speed. Both trucks fully loaded weight exactly the same.

On a side note, threads like these keep making me revisit my AWD decision. I don't in any way shape or form need the beast but I would sure like it. I hope they issue me a vin soon so I no longer have the luxury of going back and forth in my head trying to scrounge up an additional 20k.

I am an employee and contributed to the design of the vehicle. I am not a VIP. Beasts are indeed being delivered.
That is Awesome Sam! Congrats! I opted for the AWD (in MD and not an employee) because Tesla said it would be delivered Jan-Mar (still waiting for a VIN) and the Cyberbeast would not come until the end of the year. I would have gone for the Cyberbeast if I could have gotten it sooner.
Again, Congrats and Enjoy!

Late 2024 is for later orders. Many of us non-employees that ordered a Beast on 12/8 were shown an early 2024 timeline for a Beast order. There has been no indication that it has changed. It's likely we will come right after some of the employee deliveries just like the dual motor did. This is my screenshot.

Hey all - after years of chipping away at it, more than a few restarts & all-nighters, the time has come! Making this thread to commemorate taking delivery of a Foundation Cyberbeast, and the journey going forward. Have been smiling ear to ear tonight, and want to share as much of that as I can with you as you await your own truck. I'll keep this thread posted with some pictures of an upcoming wrap & a few planned roadtrips over the coming months, and aim to update once lightbar and tent are delivered. Happy to answer any questions & help anyone debating between AWD and Tri.

For what it's worth, here is a timeline of the order process:
11/21/19 - Reservation placed (RN11290XXXX)
12/15/23 - Order placed
02/12/24 - VIN Assigned (000077)
02/22/24 - Delivery Scheduled (Marina Del Rey, CA)
02/26/24 - Vehicle Received

The delivery experience for CT at Marina Del Rey in LA was awesome - indoor and guided through the UI & vehicle setup (shout out to James LaGro and Robert Peters) - and the product & build quality feels pretty incredible so far. The name tag and personalized experience was really cool. I hope other delivery centers can keep it up! Here's a video and some images from the experience.

I think later that same day it changed to late 2024 for the Cyberbeast... That's what I saw for it anyway on 12/21....

Regarding the cabin noise in the Cyberbeast their seems to be some interesting motor whine that is louder than other Teslas. I made a post about it and also made a poll asking what the whine sound reminds people of here: https://www.cybertruckownersclub.co...tor-whine-in-the-cybertruck-cyberbeast.12712/ . I also asked people if they have been in a Cyberbeast before and experienced noise firsthand and only one person said yes he had. Therefore, I am wondering from someone who has been in one before and heard it firsthand what they thought about it and what it reminds them of.
