Also worth pointing out, that the every time your app connected to the truck for you to monitor the drain, you were waking up the truck and causing additional drain. Not blaming or throwing shade, just wanted to make sure people factored that in as well.
Yeah. Well aware of that so unlike when I was checking every other second anticipating a VIN, I only checked it once a day knowing I was using up more power but wanted to monitor it daily.

Everyone saying "well duh it's sentry mode", the point isn't that there should be zero draw. The point is that the draw is way higher than any reasonable person should expect.

If a model 3 loses 5-7% per day with sentry mode on, a cybertruck should lose no more than 2.5-3.5% per day, because the battery is much bigger, but the power draw for sentry mode would be the same.

Instead, the cybertruck lost 8.14% per day. To equate that to the model 3 example here, that's equivalent to the model 3 losing 13.33% battery per day to sentry mode.

Put another way, this cybertruck example burned 10kWh in a day, where a model 3 would only burn 4.5kWh in a day (taking the average of 6% loss per day and 75kWh usable capacity in the battery pack)

So, "turn off sentry mode if you don't want drain" isn't relevant to this conversation. Something is definitely out of whack.
Sadly, no choice but to turn off sentry but happy to report, I went from from 206 to 203 in around 12hours and that included installing today's 2024.2.3 update

3 of my vehicles are connected 24/7 to tracking and other obd2 events. At any time.i can look at all the parameters of the vehicle and instant location, electrical, fuel, along with my driving history from day 1. I doubt it uses 5 watts of power. Sure it's not capturing video, but it is waiting for events, like the time I caught a thief in my truck at 10:30 pm..

And so can the Cybertruck. But we aren't talking about those things, we are talking about Sentry mode. VERY different animal.

While I'm not new to Teslas and Sentry Mode, I was a bit surprised at how much power it uses. Took the Cybertruck to the airport for a quick 3 day trip. Left it on Friday night with 174 miles. By Sunday night, it was down to 117 miles. Monday morning it was down to 104 miles and by Monday evening when we got back, it was at 91 miles. Almost exactly 3 full days and 83 miles of range just sitting there with sentry mode on. No temp controls (dog or camp mode) on and checked the app once or twice a day to check in on the battery.

Did you ever get your sentry mode battery usage under control?

im new to Teslas, EV. My CT is plugged in from 9pm to 7am to charge to 80%. I dont need Sentry Mode right now as it's in my garage at night. My problem is the truck will drain in 12hrs during the day when Im not using it. climate is off, sentry is off. Nothing Im aware of is on. what could be discharging this much? thanks in advance.

That’s odd and way too much drainage. Have you checked the energy app on the truck? Hit the park tab and see what is consuming the energy.

Has to be the weather and your cabin overheat protection. What days were you gone and what was the weather like? You will need to adjust the temperature of the cabin protection. If it’s really cold or really hot you are going to drain your battery because of the heat pump. You need to find a medium on your cabin protection temperature.

This was back in early Feb. and it was parked in a covered parking structure at LGB airport. If I'm not mistaken, it was cold and rainy (by SoCal standards) but not extreme cold/hot by any stretch. I didn't even set the cabin protection temp so unless it's just my CT, sentry mode is quite a drain on the battery.

How much will it drain?
Have you installed any thrid party applications to monitor the truck?
Is Sentry not enabled because it is home or is it actually turned off? If not, turn it off and test.
