Me, an Australian, at the very back of the queue, watching Americans gripe about minor differences in queue order.

Let me know when you get yours mate. I want to rent one for my first ever trip to Auz. I'd like to do a circumnavigation of the whole continent. Have you got something like Turo.com down there?

Holy cow, I think I barely qualify... My shares are split up between multiple accounts, and some are actually help by my wife, but I'll probably give it a shot anyway.

if the shares are held by a spouse (not in a joint account), they would not qualify.. Unless the spouse has >500 shares and the reservation is in the spouse's name

I think it’s awesome. I was late to the EV/Tesla space/car ownership My number is DEEP as in 2-3 years away for the CT. But I am a long term shareholder (as they define it) because my wife bought Tesla back in the day (unfortunately, not enough). But for enthusiasts that were slight late to the CT party, it’s nice we have the opportunity to get a foundation - even though I don’t think I can afford it.
I know it’s not the majority opinion on here, but thought I could add my two cents
Maybe anyone who has ever watched a SpaceX launch could jump ahead of reservation holders?
Anyone who has driven The Boring Co. Las Vegas Loop could get preferential delivery of a CT?
What about being allowed to jump the queue if you lost money holding TSLA stock in the last six months?
Class action?

medium term stock holders qualify for long term in this case and recent stock performance has pretty much ruined my investment.
I don't put too much weight into the exact stock price at any given moment if I don't need the money in the moment, that's just short-medium term volatility, TSLA will likely hit 1000 within 4 years.

I see people complaining about the 500 share threshold to get expedited delivery. I bought most of my shares in 2019 which means every share I bought is now 15 shares after a 5 for 1 and a 3 for 1 split. I paid under $13/share (split adjusted) for most of my shares. So the 500 share threshold could be less than $10K for those buying in 2019. For those buying before the stock split it's only 33 shares. Isnt investing fun?

The auto market is pretty soft right now and that wil impact all manufacturers cash flow and margins, this is just Tesla giving those who own the company a chance to buy the higher margin Foundation Series before switching to Cybertrucks without all the extras. I expect my VIN within the next couple of weeks so I doubt this wil expedite my delivery, but I qualify so maybe I'll submit my info just to cover all my bases.

I already lost so much money from buying this shit on margin. I don’t think I’ll be able to afford this truck lmfao.
Never buy stock on margin, totally reckless gambling. It's always better to make your money the reliable way. Buy great growth companies and hold them. The results can be astounding. Apparently, some people have trouble picking the right companies, I've never had much of a problem with that, at least not with the companies that I let form a significant portion of my portfolio.

So much for placing a min1 order and deposit and waiting years
Tesla is bad for letting owners of the company jump the que. Have you considered cancelling your order to show Tesla how you feel about this?

I think the take rate on the foundation series is lower than they wanted and this could be a way to boost it.

Or it could be high demand and they decided they want to reward loyal shareholders with a scarce product.

Im not familiar with 3 and Y roll outs. Did this happen back then?
I don't know about Model Y because I was never interested in that form factor. But the Model 3 rollout did give preference to people who owned part of the company. They had to pay the same price, but they got expedited delivery.

I submitted my TSLA proof but I hope it speed up my waiting list (2.5 to 3 yrs away) for the dual motor CT and not the FS as I feel it is such a rip-off and no FSD yet.

It was either that or slots.

I don’t get the point of this. What does this do for Tesla? Seems like it will just agitate people who have already been waiting.
Probably some big time shareholders with late reservations complaining about how they own 50,000 shares and have to wait behind us peasants who only put down the measly $100 deposit they asked us to put down 4 years ago. Then they decide to lower the threshold to 500 shares as not to make it completely exclusive.

I imagine the take rate on the FS is dying down quite a bit. Even on this forum of enthusiasts, many do not want the FS.

Rather than sending out a ton of FS invites and potentially inviting bad press when they aren't accepted, the referral and stock invites allow for people to proactively reach out to Tesla. Making the program feel exclusive and limited is a good ploy to coax more people into FS.

We may be nearer to the end or FS than I thought. These seem like some of the last levers to pull.
