Error on my CT after 300 miles --- it won't charge

Removing the pack assembly is one thing, but replacing the pack means that everything attached to it (seats, carpets, trim, the throttle pedal, etc.) must also be R&R.

I wasn't denying the 300 steps, just saying that a 3-hour job isn't huge.

Super sad - I had a similar issue though yours sounded much more severe.... mine wont accept charging and it's less than 250 miles ....

Mine won't accept charging also. Look in service tab, see what error did you get? Tesla told me not to drive but just tow to the Service Center because once the CT is completely dead, it's very hard to tow (per Tesla tow guy also). So take in for service ASAP, mine was determined to be high voltage battery, and they will receive the replacement next week, and hopefully that will fix it.

i got the hvbatt_a223 alert when i set the car into offroad mode... it says unable to charge, service required... not sure what the heck it is...

Are you able to charge at home or Super charger? Tesla will replace my HV battery. Hopefully I get mine back next week.

So my beautiful CT get towed to the service center this morning. When driving around town yesterday (after receiving the truck last Saturday, with only 1 home charge to 80%), it keeps beeping about the battery has reached max limits and it won't be able to charge -- this is happening while driving. Park the car and screen went black. Reset the screen, everything came back on. Checking service and it shows Hvbatt_a223 error, but OK to drive. We drove straight home and try to plug in, it started charging for 5 minutes and stop charging, Hvbatt_a260 error. Call Tesla emergency service, and got it towed. Irvine center won't accept it (due to too busy), Costa Mesa can't accept it because it does not have the right lift, another one in Tesla Service Costa Mesa North finally accepted it. Waiting for Service center to come back with a diagnosis.

Update 3.36.24 -- Diagnosis -- High voltage battery needs to be replaced. Parts ordered, we are now waiting for ETA (of parts arrival).

I get that hvbatt error a ton as well.

Did Tesla replace your HV battery in your Model Y? I'll get my truck back on Thursday, hopefully it won't happen again.

mine is fine, i can charge, they said it is software glitch and will be fixed with firmware update.

Update April 9. Picked up my truck today from SC, they had to change the high voltage battery— total job was 10hr of labor but they had the truck more than 2 wks (part ordering, testing etc). No more error. ?

When I picked up my CT 2 weeks ago, there was an error message of similar verbiage. I just checked the notification, and it says "Earlier Today" 8:49 PM HVBATT_a223. I was not trying to charge today. At first, I assumed this was the error message I saw at delivery, now I wonder if it is a new one. But I haven't tried to charge it today. I have plans to go on a trip next week and will take it to a local SC to see if there are any issues before I get out in the middle of the trip and find a problem. RATS! (Putting it mildly).

I think you can try to charge it first, if it takes charge then I think you are OK. Another post said that he can charge using Supercharger but not at home with HVBATT error. So you need to figure it out before a trip.

Got the dreaded HVBATT_a259 Unable to charge - Maximum charge level reached - schedule service error with 830 miles on the truck, 1900 VIN range. Soonest appointment is May 13th, ugh. Will not charge at all.

Sorry for this issue. What I did was calling Tesla service and towed it to the nearest SC. I let Tesla deals with it. If you wait at home, your charge will be depleted. I had the whole HVBATT changed out -- almost 2.5 weeks at the SC.
