“Twice as long to charge”? Not accurate.

CyberTruck is equipped for 350kW charging and the new superchargers that support it are already rolling out…go find one, test it, and then correct your statement.

No my statement is correct. The superchargers you mention are rare to find. For all other charging, whether you charge in a standard 110 outlet or a charge point site at work, it takes twice as long to charge relative to any other Tesla. that is a fact.

Rare or not, they ARE out there and making a blanket statement like you did (“Expect roughly double the time for charging everywhere.”) is objectively incorrect.

Appreciate you correcting the record but for 99% of people at this moment, my statement holds true. Hope it changes in the future and when new software updates and V4 superchargers are everywhere that will change. But with regards to 110 and 220 charging thats going to remain a fact that future owners should know.

You’re welcome for the correction but it would be more appreciated if you would go back and correct your original post.

The faster chargers are rolling out quickly and not just by Tesla. In fact the charger in the photo I posted earlier was not even Tesla.

Moreover, given “most” CyberTruck owners will not have their trucks for quite a while, it is likely that these v4 chargers will be available to more than just 1% as you seem to suggest.

Thanks for the suggestion. This is a forum for friendly discussion not Wikipedia. My post, as of the date I posted it, is factual. Hopefully in the future the V4s will be everywhere. Regardless, for those poor people that do not own a V4 supercharger at their homes or workplace, expect roughly 2x time for charging relative to your other Teslas.

The vampire drain on the CT is also pretty horrible even with all the gizmos turned off, hopefully that gets fixed OTA.

I'm having a tough time understanding exactly why they charge so slow at the superchargers.. I get that it has a 123kw battery, it's larger. but the X and the S are 100kw.

I see reviews claiming the model S plaid is the "Quickest charging EV we've Tested".. so with 23 extra KW it's double the time to charge to 90? I feel like I must be missing something here.
This is only an assumption. My guess is it's software limited on purpose for reasons undisclosed. OR 4680 + 800v architecture isn't providing a good charging curve. 23 kWh shouldn't make that big of a difference IMO rather the things I stated. Lets hope it's software restricted for reasons that are solvable over time... if not, it's a real bummer they should be top of the pack when it comes to charging + battery technology.

If you care about accuracy, then you would have no issue with correcting what you wrote.

As I already explained, faster charging is available—right now. How do you explain the screenshot?

But yet you seem content to maintain a consciously incorrect statement in your OP that indicates faster charging is not available anywhere. Strange

That was in the 500 mile range hype era, current charge rate on the CT is the same as a basic M3 but a bigger battery, really slow even on V3
The Model 3 Long Range charges really fast on 250 kW Superchargers. When I'm on a long, fast road trip, my typical charging stop is 15 minutes, it's usually ready to hit the highway before I am! And, yes, I know a bigger battery on a less efficient vehicle adds range more slowly.

“• Something I haven't heard people mention is peace of mind when you park somewhere. With all my other Teslas I have been obsessive about parking away from others to avoid being hit by doors and shopping carts. Now I park wherever I want and feel sorry for anyone that hits the car with their door- only they will have damage. The kids love kicking the truck as hard as they can. There is no other vehicle currently for sale that you can do this unless you drive an M1 Abrahms tank. Also love not worrying about curb rash anymore. I dont plan on wrapping because I like the stainless steel look.”

Fully agree!!! I always worry about door dings when I park my truck. So many poor/distracted drivers out there. Everyone seems to be on their cell phone when backing out of their parking spot.

Vampire drain is a real issue..especially if you left your vehicle unplugged for a week ..say, on a trip.

$20k difference, not $40k. If that is all that kept you from the Cyberbeast, I hope this lets you pull the trigger.
When I look at it, the Foundation Series is $100,000 and the Cyberbeast is $120,000. Am I wrong?

Great to hear! I'm in San Diego as well, should get a SD CT group meet sometime!
Beast #42 checking in, keep me posted on an SD meetup -- would love to swing by!

FWIW, very happy with my Beast running 2024.8.8. No issues. And with the right charger the time it takes to get to 80% is not much longer than the performance M3.

Finally dropped off for a PPF wrap with custom CyberBeast Cerberus logo on tailgate. Should be ready next week.

Anyone out there nervous about issues with the CT/CB realize they are not typical. Most of us with no issues prefer to drive the CB than spend time posting online. Proceed with mindful confidence!
