So I've done a deep dive into this site (and other sites) - but I've not found any qualified shareholders yet that have an email from Tesla inviting them to order a CT. Is this correct?
That appears to be the case. No one has received any additional information regarding next steps after submitting documents

Thx for replies....I also called yesterday and the rep said "Be patient & then congratulated me on being a future CT owner!" ....implying but not verifying that I am one some sort of list.

I’m in a different situation than those waiting for an invite, as I imagine others are as well. I received my Foundation Series Invitation on 3/5 and placed my AWD order on 3/12, well before I applied for the long term stockholders program.
As I understand it, this should reduce my wait time for a VIN and accelerate my delivery. ?

It doesn't sound like the reps really know much. I am waiting for an answer from "Fleet" for our business and It's been over 3 weeks - the rep keeps sending me messages "no reply yet!" .... but congrats on having an order in!

I just called as well to see if they would imply success or provide any further info. The rep told me that they don't have any info on it yet and that I should email [email protected]

That would defeat the purpose of wanting the trucks to be out in the world, testing the hardware and software. Buyers didn't have a contract with Tesla, and the software contains many safety updates.

I disagree. The majority of Cybertrucks would still be out in the world being used; just those that are being flipped would be paper weights. It is unclear what your position is on this. You seem to be against flipping and yet you are down on punishing them in this simple way. Maybe it is just the principle of the thing for you?

We just need to be patient guys… there are probably a ton of files that came through and need manual verification. We will get our trucks :)

I don't see how my position is unclear. I've always said a reason to be against flipping is because flippers sit on cars, rather than use them.

So it's not at all in conflict that bricking the cars after they've been flipped would be counter-productive.

It's best to keep the disagreement between Tesla and the flipper.

I agree. Tesla drew a line in the sand and, to me, there is nothing worse than someone drawing a line in the sand and not going the distance with someone that crosses it. They should hammer every flipper, and they should apologize to the world for not being smarter in their choice of people to sell to. It’s a ‘sleep in the bed you made’ situation to me. If they aren’t going to own up to their own rules, then they ‘could‘ hammer the buyer in the way suggested. We know that Tesla has taken this route before, even if their beef is really with the seller. It would at least send the message that they mean business as opposed to meaning nothing and looking stupid.

This whole thing leaves a very sour taste in my mouth. Rules should be made to enforce, because if you only make them to reduce the behavior you are trying to limit, then those who invariably break rules will do so, the ones that don’t won’t, and there may be a few in the middle that may or may not be influence. Meaning? You didn’t need the rule in the first place.
