If you listen to what the drone operators say (which, apparently, you don’t), they tell us that carriers with CTs are leaving the factory constantly. The bottleneck is surely that the maximum we have ever seen on a particular carrier is 4 CTs.

that you (and I) do not have one yet is almost orthogonal.
Need to have 1 of the drone guys run up to the rail yard and see what's shipping by rail. That's where most of these transports are going, 30 miles up the road to rail shipping. I wonder how many trips a day they make.

I don’t care what you guys think, I’m a rich guy and my 2-week old CT is perfect! Oh, BTW, I have a 100% loan from the Navy Federal CU, but for some reason they sent me an email saying my loan application was declined yesterday. Do you think the cashier's check bounced?
great, another 'rich' guy waving his wad around :-(

Good point. Those rail cars were probably tweaked to hold Model Ys. I wonder if they had to make changes for the Cybertruck.

Even if they only have to truck them up to the railyard in Hutto and ship them out, they still have the 4-CT bottleneck at GT and then they have fewer cars on the train, and they have another 4-CT bottleneck at the terminal yard. No matter how you cut it, the CT is a logistics problem.

In the beginning I was hoping that Tesla would allow us to pick CTs up at GT and give us factory tours. We were planning on flying down, getting the CT, grabbing a cooler full of OUTRAGEOUS Texas BBQ, and driving home. Think of the cost savings for Tesla. Worth more than referral credits for the tour. But no.....

"Rich"...but he still has to take out a loan AND his loan application was declined, supposedly.
If wishes were fishes I'd be a rich man...

If they are held up awaiting revised parts ... good! They are iterating. Seems pretty normal to me while ramping up.
Better to let them stack up at the factory than ship them to customers who get stranded on the side of the road, put people in danger, etc.
The CT should not have been delivered until midway into 2024 and Tesla is circling the wagons, as disappointed as I am in the release specs and the timeline for the CT them delaying additional deliveries is 100% the right thing to do for future truck owners, and more importantly stock holders like myself.

My impression was that he qualified his position as being "rich" to put into context the loan denial letter he received (after getting the loan), not to "wave his wad around".

Why are people so sensitive to matter-of-fact statements made by people who worked their entire normal working life, and spent less than they made? That's the best way to end up with more than you need. I noticed back around the turn of the century that the younger generations wanted everything, and they wanted it at age 20 or 30. New cars, new boats, new clothes, new this and that, as soon as they were making good money, they wanted to flash it around and spend it.

I didn't buy my first new car or motorcycle until the purchase price was only ~2% of my retirement savings. I didn't own a TV until right before I retired at age 37. I didn't start buying new furniture until after I retired. It's nothing to be ashamed of, people make their own choices and live with the results. The sure-fire way to be always short of money, no matter how much you make, is to spend it as soon as you get it.

This thread is why I love message boards. I’m not joking. We don’t get insider info, so we get to discuss/debate any and all info with “conspiracy theory” hats on. Same mindset from a couple of years ago when any leak got talked about. Cheers CTOC!

I do listen.
But, seeing is better. I got that they can only carry 4 at a time. I got that some are leaving every day. What I don't get is that they are making way way way way more Y's there than CT's. You do NOT see big piles of them building up anywhere in the videos and all of those are not even sold.

What I am saying is this. Taking into account all the issues, you have 400 CT's sitting that are not moving as fast as you can produce them ... why? Not an issue for the others.

We are paying to get it shipped ... right? So, how about I pay them $500, I come to Austin at my OWN expense, give me a 45 minute "this is how we make them" with a group of 50 other CT heads. and 50 leave the lot that day? That is a cool, $25,000, 50 trucks gone, and $500k in the bank.

They could do that in a New York minute ... IF all the trucks are just there because of shipping delays.

Forget the factory tour, just tell me where to pick my beast up. I’ll do a fly and drive ?

I never go over 2% of my retirement stash but I only buy MatchBox cars and trucks! Mostly ...

My wife says I can live in my CT though!

I'm nobody and didn't sign an NDA. 105 days from order to delivery.
I did no t mean that everybody has to sign and NDA ... but some of the influencers may have been given that as a condition of early delivery.
