I am in the Bay Area and had my Cybertruck since February 22nd. The attention on the road is still very high. When I go somewhere and get out/get back in there are folks asking questions. If you ride around town with your window down, at a stop light expect 50% of the time someone will say something.

The Bay Area probably is more Cybertrucks per square mile than any other area, but the attention is still there. I don't notice it much while I am driving...because I am driving. My Wife notices it as she sees all the people.

There was a JEEP meet & greet/cars & coffee type of thing. I was with my Son. We were passing by and I said, "We should stop & park next to all the JEEPS and let them know we identify as a JEEP." My guess the Cybertruck would have pulled all the JEEP owners over to the vehicle.

The attention will eventually fade. I did not buy it for the attention. When I placed my $100 deposit via ApplePay when Elon was on stage I didn't think it would attract the attention it attracts. But I actually enjoy it. It brings many smiles to peoples faces.

Anybody else tired of the attention yet? It’s pretty crazy still here. I had to start staying in the truck until the coast is clear to make a run for it. A guy chased me on foot while I was driving and was mad I didn’t stop lol

Yeah it’s great so many people like it! I am very surprised considering all the negative remarks that have been online for the last 4 years. It’s the complete opposite in real life!

I think a couple of things are happening. People on the world wide web mostly have never seen one in person or driven one. I truly believe the Cybertruck is the Grand Canyon of vehicles. The Grand Canyon is hard to take a photo and convey the depth and vast nature of that place. The Cybertruck is the same way. People always say, "Photos or Videos don't do it justices. So the people online are being their true self and trolling.

The interesting thing is, I get 90%+ positive feedback in person. So either the people I see in person are not honest people and are just being nice & are the people that talk behind your back or hide behind a keyboard or it is truly amazing vehicle that has to be experienced.

My favorite reactions are kids and people that have never heard or seen one before. I like the kids, because there feedback & reactions are PURE. Not tainted or political. If you want a honest reaction, as a kid. Also the people that have never heard of it before. They are normally the ones that are most amazed. They haven't seen anything like it.

The Cybertruck will be remembered as an iconic car. Its influence will be felt for a generation.

So true! My favorite reaction so far is, as this guys’ mind was blown because he’s never seen or heard of a cybertruck before, asked if I worked for a movie studio that makes vehicles for movies. I think that’s a pretty fair reaction if you have no clue what it is. If I pass a group of teenagers, I sometimes get chants of “Cybertruck! Cybertruck! Cybertruck!” and cheers. Pretty insane a TRUCK elicits that kind of reaction.

Internet is filled with Trolls and some biased media that wants to bring down Tesla. Cybertruck is going to be a major hit. It’s already in a way, irrespective of all the negative things people are posting. The positive attention and vibes it gets from people is the proof. Time will tell but ignore the naysayers. Kids love it; retired people love it; random people who sees it for the first time love it; the unique design grows on people. I just want the attention it gets to go away so I can do stealth camping wherever I want! ? This can happen if the production ramps up a lot. Cmon Tesla!!

So, it’s a really interesting that you make this comment about Apple Pay! I feel like my RN number was 20,000 or 30,000 higher than it ended up being because Apple Pay was not working for me to make the reservation during the presentation. I kept trying and it failed and trying and it failed and trying and it failed and eventually after 30 minutes or so, I ended up using a regular credit card and my RN number was 11279. And I swear if Apple Pay had gone through, I might be much lower.

i have a lot of money invested in Tesla and I support the company’s mission. When I go out I plan for this and try to advocate for Tesla and electric vehicles as well.

I keep in mind:
1) The persons experience with you might be the highlight of their day or week.( or the worst part if it is some who is waiting for their truck)

2) you could potentially trigger a Tesla future sale or someone to pass.

If I need a break I just drive something else or get a delivery.

Yep, we are in the Bay Area, East Bay and after reading all these posts about attention, we expected more of a reaction from people. We got our truck about 2 weeks ago, and we barely get any attention or people looking - most are so focused on what they're doing/driving, they don't even see us driving by. If we are in a parking lot, we may get one interested person with questions, but it's been very polite and positive. Thankfully, we have not had anyone following us or chasing us down.
I'm guessing it'll be the same here in Orange County. All of the posts that I've seen on here from people picking up in Irvine said that on any given day they're delivering like ten trucks through that location.

had mine for less than 24 hours and someone already followed me into a store to ask me what it was. (he wasn't shopping there) People are genuinely curious, I think its awesome, annoying, yes, but the excitement is contagious

It’s true kids seem to love it. Maybe it is that they have no bias like adults can have. EV vs gas etc. And the political stuff.

Yeah for me the following is a bit much. I understand it’s an unusual vehicle but I have had maybe 10 adults follow after me and stop me in the last few weeks. I guess it’s just something I wouldn’t personally do. I feel it’s a bit invasive.

While not to the extent that I expect of the Cybertruck, my Model 3 got quite a lot of attention when it arrived. You could always see people turning heads, you had the cars pulling up next to you.

That's Tesla, changing the rules!

Relocate to Bay Area. People have started ignoring it unless you have a crazy wrap. The other day a Cybertruck with lot of fingerprints was parked in a mall. People walked past it as if it didn’t exist at all! I was getting a crazy idea to get a wrap with enough fingerprints to avoid the attention! :ROFLMAO:
This is so accurate, mine was getting pretty minimal attention compared to when I 1st picked it up.

Then it was wrapped and the attention went up to an all time high.

According to a security Guard posted near where I parked my truck at work, people thought it was Jensen’s truck. ?
