I was just at a Tesla super charger that the provided wifi was not routing; it connected as I arrived, but nothing (e.g. music) would succeed. I was surprised there was no way to tell the wifi connection to ignore that (SSID) and use the Cell capability. I needed up having it use my phones hot spot. That's fine, but why doesnt Tesla allow me/us to ignore the connection when it doesnt work?

You can turn off wifi or connect to a mobile hotspot

I stated that. My issue is WHY you cannot tell the software in networking to ignore (forget) the wifi SSID that is ether non-working (as does ALL PC, IOT, etc.), or you just don't want that connection to remain. The Tesla network software doesn't represent industry norms I guess is what I'm trying to complain about.

Sad reality is that there aren't really universally adopted norms. Every device connects to the local network or internet in its own way. I have several devices at home (as an example) that automatically choose a wifi to network to connect to after network loss, others where if they lose the connection have to be manually reconnected, and still others that cannot seem to connect without power cycling. In none of those cases can I simply tell them to connect or not to connect. The only ones I have that kind of control over are desktop computers and phones, but that is actually the minority of devices at our home. Why would vehicles be any different?

Yup. You definitely notice it when you try to play HD videos on YouTube and it automatically starts buffering and the quality is set to auto. Always have to disconnect to the Starlink wifi when supercharging. Once you go back to the onboard LTE
The video quality is improved.
