Mine (VIN 52xxx) looks exactly like your ‘before’ pic, where you can see the holes in the aluminum piece. What did you say in the service appointment request to get them to add that extra slat?Just got my CT back from having the tonneua cover reworked. Still allows a small amount of water in from the top of the tonneau applique.

Took mine in for leaking and the gap. They took care of the leaking by replacing an appliqué seal, but didn’t take care of the gap. Tonneau doesn’t leak though. <knocks on wood> If it continues to not leak, I’m not going to bother with the gap.You still have a gap there . My understanding that gap shouldn’t be there .
did they put on the new sealed appliqué ?
Tesla CS summarized what I wrote, but this is what was listed on the invoice. Concern: Customer states: Other · Exterior - Tonneau cover looks to be misaligned with a large gap that allows a large amount of water into the truck bed.Mine (VIN 52xxx) looks exactly like your ‘before’ pic, where you can see the holes in the aluminum piece. I took mine through the car wash once and it was basically fine (just a few drops of water on the wall below the rear window). But, mine is only 3.5 weeks old so maybe that’s why…
I have a service appointment on Jan 7 and wondering if I should add this to the list…even though I’m not having any issues at the moment.
Hey how are you? How did you get it fixed ,I have the same issue and I take it to the Tesla service, and they say , the gab is normal., all Cybertrucks in the lot come out the same !? by any chance they give you any repair estimate?Just got mine back yesterday with the same issue![]()

I saw this before but didn’t lol at it carefully since I don’t have any major leaks in my bed. However, I do have the gap between the last slat and the appliqué.Show them this page in person on your phone: https://service.tesla.com/docs/Cybe...UID-A52C2B6C-55CE-40DF-84ED-2DBE6001B1D3.html

Same here. I got mine done 2 weeks ago. They basically rebuilt my assembly & added the slates…all under warranty. My cover now even moves faster, smoother and quieter!![]()

Just wanted to post it here in case someone else has this problem.![]()
I had a big gap at the top of the cover so you could actually see the riverts. Tesla fixed it under warranty. Attaching the pictures and invoice details.
Nice! So, you did a request through the app or in person at the service center? Or asked to fix the gap?Same here. I got mine done 2 weeks ago. They basically rebuilt my assembly & added the slates…all under warranty. My cover now even moves faster, smoother and quieter!
