A lot of things in this world would be "nice". And if you want to pay for those things, you can have them all. But Tesla doesn't exist to make people with niche edge cases happy at the expense of others, they have to deploy their capital where and when it does the most good.

Maybe you should complain to Ford, GM, Toyota, VW (who was ordered by a federal court to spend $1 billion on N. American DCFC infrastructure) and the rest of legacy auto that they haven't put in enough charging infrastructure to keep you and your trailer happy in the winter.

None of these other players have done as much as Tesla, not even close, even all of them combined have failed to match what the little unprofitable Tesla startup did.

So I can just go pay to have SCs upgraded? I've been driving Teslas as primary vehicle for 9+ years. I experienced the SC expansion firshand and it's SOOO much better than it was. I would never own the brands you mention because of this, at least until they catch up. Not complaining about anything. Doesn't make me selfish or unreasonable to want better/more. Maybe you should take a chill pill.

Not when towing. Cannot make it to any of them. Also, it's 3 hours one way, further the other way. V3 is fine, just would be nice to have more v4, especially when V2 is the only option. E.g. I75 TN to FL would be a lot nicer without 5+ hours of charging.

The Silverado EV did 0-80% in 38 min with a MASSIVE battery.

The people on the Silverado forum are having trouble replicating that. It's even worse in the cold. There are very few chargers available that can do that, and everything has to be perfect. It's not a real world advantage, many Silverado owners are struggling with longer charging times.

Charge curve pushed ever so slightly out vs the release curve. This is listed as optimized, but seems it isn't quite the optimized curve considering we have seen 320+ at 21%. The curves on 1000v chargers are slightly better than this, which indicates some issue with the amps (could be charger or truck).

10-80% in ~33.5-34 minutes. Very significant gap between all <200kWh packs in the first 20-25 minutes of charging, even over the previous 250kW curve for the Cybertruck. 35+ the difference is minimal compared to Gen 1 Rivian large pack (Gen 2 is significantly behind).

The benefit of the very large battery is shown on the Chevy pack in the third graph.

About dozen times a year I have to travel 250+ miles. Just saying on those 5% time I prob just use my gas car. I hope to get that range extender and that would solve the time crunch. However, SC costs still crazy. Why is Tesla charging so much these days?

In the PNW, electricity rates are quite low for home charging ($0.1026/kWh). But SC charge $0.40~$0.49 here. One reason I came across is that our local utility charges "public" EV chargers $0.40/kWh. Maybe that's because of high demand loads. Or maybe because they can get away with it.

I see. It’s the locals taking advantage of EVs. Don’t get me started on the extra tag renewal costs for EVs. They don’t want us to save.

I just tried a V4 in Charlotte last night. I got a peak of 320kw. Of course it only lasted a very short time then started dropping but overall I was happy with the speeds.

Interestingly I did get a max charge is limited by the charger message on the screen. Don't think I have seen that at a supercharger before.

I really like the longer cable on the V4s. The V3s are just too short. Having that extra length is really nice when trying to plug the truck in.

Nice. Could be outdoor temp related and so I’m interested to see how the peak and curve change as it gets warmer out. They may also begin to adjust the charging curve as they get more CT fleet data.
