I can answer one of these for you, since I have the roof rack. No, they’re not the same, as the ones for the roof are not adjustable. They are fixed in length.

Nice product! Looks like a similar function to the shelf brackets I’ve had on Etsy for a while. Mine are obviously lower-duty as they are ASA based. But this is a great product for heavy duty needs. I find myself using them constantly.
