It's federal charge and the first few that get charged might have their life destroyed to make an example of them. Arson alone is probably a significant charge, tack on restitution for a few Cybertrucks, few years in jail, taken away from friends and family, job loss.... - sounds terrible!!

Only one Google search away from finding a jaw dropping number of news stories of actual known murderers being let loose, so I wouldn't hold my breath at anything sticking.
