Defaults to standard ride and handling with fsd active vs chill by example if that’s what we currently have? Am I understanding this correctly?

if so, is standard better for fsd and why?

Unless I'm misreading the release notes, it appears this feature only applies to the Model 3.
Model 3 does not have steer by wire

Yes - of course- I misread the OP’s reference. Apologies, I was referring to the first section in the release notes -
Standard Ride & Handling in Autopilot

which seems to be limited to model 3.

I felt no difference in the new 2025.8.4. But the ride height adjustments are there, that's nice...
Where do you see the option for ride height adjustment in the app?

Where do you see the option for ride height adjustment in the app?
It will show up under Control (scroll down) but it is not available (greyed out) when the CT is plugged in.
