Charge on Solar now enabled for Cybertruck

Yeah, that was just stock wording because solar and Powershare don't (didn't?) play nice, yet.
The Powerwall setup and solar sit behind the Backup Switch on your solar (bidirectional?) meter.

The Powershare Gateway looks to be fed off the main meter. They might have gone grid-meter-gateway-existing_setup, but based on your energy screenshots, Powershare lives on it's own.

Those images are both current? The truck shows up in both views simultaneously?

Ok, so the Crib picture is how it used to be and the Powershare is how it is now?
What was the original charge connector?
There isn't a way to link Gateways (and you only have the one + Backup Switch, right)?
If you did have two Gateways, you could theoretically stack Powershare after Powerwall, but that's not really useful.

The UWC needs to move to the backed up side of your Powerwall system (where the original EVSE was) and get added to the location. The Powershare Gateway isn't needed.

My old EVSE is a 15 kW JuiceBox (built like a Sherman tank).
I have a Gateway that came with the Powerwalls. Powershare Gateway was added in June 2024, with the UWC. I asked the installers why the UWC was upstream of the original system and they said "that's how Tesla showed us to do it". Seemed odd at the time, but I figured they knew what they were doing. Tesla gave me a voucher for the hardware and Tesla sent them the Gateway, sent me the UWC, then sent me a Gateway, then the installer brought the Gateway + UWC for the install, I gave the 2nd Gateway and UWC to the installer, they installed the hardware, and I wait for Tesla to release OTA updates.

I am aware of the Tesla recommendations (thanks for that) and suggested to the installer that that was the way to go, but I don't do this for a living and (again) figured that Tesla and the 3rd party knew what they were doing.

Sigh.

Entire house is on backup, so no backup loads panel. Everything including the the Wall Connectors are on battery. The one difference is I do not have a Powershare backup gateway, just the Powerwall Backup Gateway.

Is the JuiceBox still connected?

After re-reading the documentation for Charge on Solar, it seems like that feature should still work with your setup. Maybe try setting the location again (in case it view the UWC as a different place than the JuiceBox).

okay. Same setup, here prior to Powershare install.

I didn’t need to get the Powershare backup gateway installed. All you needed was a Gen 3 Wall Connector and to wait for the software update to allow Powershare to work with your setup. That is what I am waiting for.

Of course, to get full benefit the Wall Connector needs to be capable of 48A charge rate (60A breaker and circuit).

For Customers With Powerwall

If your home is equipped with Powerwall and home charging, you do not require any additional equipment. Powershare Home Backup functionality with Powerwall is expected to be available later in 2025 through an over-the-air update.

Our preferred home charging solution is the Wall Connector or the Universal Wall Connector on a 240 V circuit. The home charging system must be backed up by Powerwall to enable Home Backup.

Juicebox still connected. Location is correct for both, but I re-saved it for Powershare. I won't be able to test Charge on Solar w/UWC again until this weekend. Charge on Solar does work with my Juicebox, but if my truck is plugged-in to it, Powershare is as useless as a tit on a boar.

In that case, if Charge on Solar still isn't working with the updated location, one could have the installers disconnect the communication cable from the UWC to the Powershare Gateway and possibly the comm wires to the isolation switch, delete the Powershare group, and add the UWC to the crib group. That would put everything under the Powerwall group and prevent the Powershare Gateway from disconnecting.
Note, Powershare will not feed the house until after the new software is released.
