i got my CT end of January. I just got done doing 10k miles in 2 month trip across 10 western states.
Any issues with the free supercharging, since there are lots of disclaimers from Tesla now?

I love my CT, best auto I ever had. I get mostly favorable comments on the CT on the street even though I live in the most left leaning part of Florida. I just regret that I did not get the FS.
Why do you regret not getting foundation?

The truck is fantastic!
I would not be surprised if a lot of this negative is being lead by those that would benefit from low sales. Other manufacturers.
YouTubers want to be seen. Most have no clue as to what they “think they know”.

Also:

“All truth passes through three stages" attributed to Arthur Schopenhauer, describes the journey of a truth from being ridiculed, to being violently opposed, and finally, to being accepted as self-evident.

Here's a breakdown of the three stages:

  • First, it is ridiculed:
When a new idea or truth is first proposed, it's often met with disbelief and mockery, as it challenges existing beliefs and paradigms.
    • Second, it is violently opposed:
As the idea gains traction, it faces strong resistance from those who cling to the old ways of thinking, leading to active opposition and attempts to suppress it.
    • Third, it is accepted as self-evident:
Eventually, the truth becomes widely accepted and understood, becoming so commonplace that it's seen as obvious and requiring no further justification.
This concept could be applied to Cybertruck AND all the very recent noise going on right now. Very thought provoking.
Wait as long as you can. Price has no where to go but down.

Honestly, I do not see a large market for an expensive EV - especially with limited range. Model Y and 3 are great as they are the cheapest decent transportation out there. Tesla is selling only a handful of X and S each month.

I wouldn't touch an EV over $50k. I am waiting for a sub 50K CT - or some Suburban sized SUV.

I am sure Tesla thought battery tech would improve more than it did by the time the CT launched. Give it a few more years and who knows.
Objectively I know you are correct. However this is a quality of life decision for me. I am moving on from a 2022 Model X that I paid too much for and haven't enjoyed enough. But such is life.
So now my thinking is shaping into "buy the CT, knowing that for sure the future holds more and better, but enjoy the day, this day and tomorrow, and worry not for the distant future, because when all is said and done, I am already planning on my next Tesla, whether its a newer and better CT or something even more exciting"

If you haven't already, please watch Jason Commisa's Cybertruck video. I watched it multiple times during my wait for delivery. It is powerful, sometimes funny, sometimes maddening but overall enlightening and freeing.
Watched it, love it! Great content and production and just made me feel good

If the tonneau cover, steer by wire are removed, only one motor, and common shocks installed the truck price might go down where its reachable for everyone. That's when we'll see $250K trucks sold per year.
I agree, but I just don't want that watered down version of this amazing work of art. Gimme the bells and whistles, in fact give me more! I want a bigger frunk, outlets in the frunk, more outlets in the bed, more outlets in the cab, light colored seats (black is hot in sunny California), and then add the motorized self closing doors like the X.

There's been almost no innovation post Steve which is what most influencers were worried about.

A lot of attempts and failed projects like the Vision Pro, Apple Car, and Apple Home (Potentially Apple TV as well).

The watch has been popular, but the company still lives and dies by phone sales and subscriptions.

I get your point, but maybe not the best example.
Agreed, I was referring to Steve's tenure. Post Steve is what Tesla would turn into sans Musk

As a Cybertruck owner, I totally disagree with all the negativity. The Cybertruck is the most awesome, incredible, unique, cutting edge vehicle for sale today. Own one for yourself and you will see how awesome it is also!

I bought a model S85D in 2015 and drove it for 9 years and 360,000 km. Was the best car I ever owned. Typically I would trade in my cars after 2-3 years. Model S was so good I just kept driving it. I now have a Cybertruck (since November) and that is on a whole new level of design and performance. There is nothing out there that comes even close to how this vehicle performs. If you look into the design and performance objectives, one starts to see it is actually a gorgeous vehicle, designed from the ground up to be the most capable EV truck. I most definitely plan to drive it many years, likely longer than what I was driving my S.

I have never owned a vehicle that makes children and old people smile.
Well, at 66 YO, I am considered old by many, so I guess I will be driving my CT with a perpetual smile plastered on my face!

I found missing features in CT that were available in FS. I got MyQ for garage but discovered that there is nothing for my gate unless I change the motor. However, I love the CT and I get thumbs up on the street even though I live in a very left leaning area. This is my first EV and I will never go back to ICE car. The CT is extremely comfortable

I got my CyberTruck FS in July ‘24. It’s been a great vehicle for me, one minor problem was the windshield wiper not spraying across the windshield and a quick stop at the service center took care of it with replacing it for free. I’ve done 2 long distance trips with it, each over 2k without a hitch. Best ride ever that surpassed my ‘22 Model S LR in long distance trips.

I don’t listen or watch others, they either trying to get viewership to get monetary benefits or they heard it from their 7th cousins that it was bad. Whether you decide to own one from the experience of the owners or hesitate due to what you’ve read or watched, the decision is yours. Would I buy another CT? You bet I would if I had more space.

I believe that the anti Tesla demonstrations are financed and promoted by persons that have shorted the stock. Many were envious of the past marked increase in stock price and wanted to get a lower price. The SEC should investigate this.

Did you use your free unlimited supercharging on your 2015 MS? Do you use on your CT? If so are you concerned about Tesla telling you that you use it too much since they have now taken away the "unlimited" title and added a bunch of scary disclaimers?
