Apparently not something to really buy.

Tesla will have an 240V adapter for the Powershare Mobile Connector eventually, based on original web pages.OK, I think this power adapter is f*cking brilliant. But it's not for the reasons of a non-Trades owner would think.
Most of the onsite trades I see are using tools with battery packs or small compressor air tank powered. You could roll up to a work site and have a way to either setup an recharge bank or use your air compressor, IF, if the work site doesn't have on site power already. These type Trades really have no need for 220V.
Now, if you are a 220V Trade, ie mobile welding, plasma, you would then get the AWD with the in vault 220V (quite frankly, mobile welders are making bank now anyway and a CT with a 220V would no real stretch for them).
Different levels of truck for different levels of Trades.
What sucks for the non-trades owner is a portable powered cooler can't be run while driving in the vault, but I still think Tesla is going after the work truck marker with this.
?You may need to upgrade your server. Here is a decent one:

Do you have a link with an example ?So do the v2l devices the Chinese marketing machine has invaded my media with over the last couple of months act as inverters or do they do the same thing with the onboard charger?

As is typical with the Chinese products they don't provide all the relevant information, but at the first glance it looks like it will present itself to the vehicle as a DC charger which will result in the charging port getting a direct connection to the battery pack. Then that box is an inverter, which will convert ~400VDC to 120/240VAC. Long story short, it's not the same thing as what the Tesla adapter is doing.
Ah yes, the ol' firestarter 5000.As is typical with the Chinese products they don't provide all the relevant information, but at the first glance it looks like it will present itself to the vehicle as a DC charger which will result in the charging port getting a direct connection to the battery pack. Exactly. Why would I need, or want, this?I was thinking “what does this do for CB/AWD folks that the bed outlets don’t?”
Power things 20 feet away from the truck with the bed closed and locked.Exactly. Why would I need, or want, this?
Yes, it connects to the mobile charger and uses the NACS port to provide power to the unit. In theorySo you can power stuff with the tonneau closed or what?
I wonder if you have to turn on powershare in the app or car in order for it to send power outThe adapter showed up today. Truck doesn’t seem to know what to do with it yetshows the no power message same as it does if you have the mobile charger connected with no power connected. Sure a software update will fix it.
