I went to San Francisquito Motorway to drive my first offroad course today. It is located about 10 minutes north from Santa Clarita. The trail has a lower rating (3/10) and about 6 miles long, so I didn't do much preparation.

Thoughts:
The truck handled it very well, didn't air down and I feel like it's nothing and am more confident for the next adventure.
The only thing that's bugging me is that everytime I get out of the truck and drive again, I have to put it back to offroad mode, can we have a option to not auto exit offroad mode?

I have never driven an offroad vehicle, so I don't know how it compares to other trucks or SUVs but I really like how it worked, very comfortable journey.

Lastly, if anyone wants to explore socal, especially towards north of LA, let me know, as even though the trails might be easy, unexpected can still happen, and I imagine it's more fun to go offroading with a group.

Hey, hit me up next time. Just got my AWD CT last week. I've never gone off road, so I'm looking for some one to go with on something really beginner friendly. Hopefully someone experienced can help guide us off-road newbies. I'm just east of DTLA.

I hear there are some easy trails in Anza Borego, any interest in those?

Congrats on your new CT!

I will probably be going in a few months, expecting a new born soon so not doing a lot of activities lately. Will post another thread when I have a plan!

Thanks!
I've added quite a bit of stuff since then, when on a much more hardcore trip with friends and hope to back in action in a few months time.

Maybe we can do some off-roading at Twain Harte Ca-108 area, there are some interesting forest roads. I think they would be beginnerish.
