Which software version are you on?
CT does not drive in the center of the lane at highway speeds. Seems to do pretty good below 45 mph, unless the wind is blowing.

On the highway, it rides right of center while in the right lane, and left of center in the left lane. It travels outside of the lane repeatedly, often driving completely off the road. In curves it stays to the outside - the opposite of what humans do.

I have washed my windows, my cameras, and calibrated the cameras. But it drives wacky 10% of the time. My model 3 drives perfectly in the center. In the CT my passengers have asked me not to use FSD because it is so stressful.

On the good side - Tesla seems to have fixed the windshield wiper issue. It now performs when I want it too, only when I want it to, and delivers fluid when requested. This is significant.

Thanks, I just upgraded to that version. Did not have any problems before that update staying centered. Will post either way as I drive.

Here I cross the center yellow on a 2-lane country road doing about 50mph. I cross back just before several vehicles pass. Only a 20sec clip.

I have the same issue. It must be an issue at the software layer and not a camera calibration issue. Just like OPs image shows, even the 3D representation of the CTs position shows it close to the lines, accurately reflecting its position.

The best work-around we have right now is removing the side view mirrors.

I have also had this problem. I have hit the rumbled strips a couple of times on FSD, both with the left side on a divided highway.
What annoys me the most is when I set my FSD it slows down even if I'm going under the speed limit, and it frustrates the hell out of me. I"m flowing with traffic, and then I set FSD and it slows from 50 to 40 in a 55, when most cars are doing 55-60. So frustrating! I've been holding my foot on the power pedal for a few moments but it's either slows down when I take my foot off, or tells me to take control cause it has warned me it can't apply brakes. When I let it take over it takes at least a mile or two before it gets back up to the speed limit.
I also have a Model Y, and the FSD on it is wwwaaayyy better than the Cybertruck. I thought it was the AI just hadn't adapted to me yet, but not sure that is the case with the CT.

Had similar problems with going below the speed limit while in FSD. Trying switching from chill/standard to hurry and it was working better before last night’s update (v12 2025.8.7 FSD v13.2.8). Usually now maintaining at least the speed limit with Hurry.
Hope the update doesn’t mess it up.

Ok, the update did not change the lane centering or maintaing speed limit in hurry mode on city streets for me. It is still dead center on the roads.

I'm on 2025.8.7

Just did 500 miles from Orlando to Atlanta.

I had about 3 rides over the rumble strips. It was all while passing semis on the left in the passing lane. I didn't notice it doing it any other times. It did seem a little too close to the left line of the lane sometimes. But not all of the time.

Most annoying thing it did was the 20 blinks to change from the passing to the middle lane. Not sure what happened but it was fine for most of the trip but started really doing it after about 250 miles of driving. Then it just went away and didn't do it again. But when it does it, it is aggravating.

Other than that it was a flawless drive until I got to 285 near Marietta GA and it decided to try and exit to there instead of continuing. It might have figured it out but I took over since I didn't feel like getting on the wrong highway.

Am I alone with this issue? I have used FSD in my model y and it’s spot on dead center. The cybertruck seems to be wanting g to ride the line to almost hitting the rumble strips. Is this just software or something more series like cameras are not calibrated properly?

For me this issue is 100% present with side wind or any wind. CT was literally just blown off the road when the wind is strong. I brought it to ST - they checked all the cameras. Found that mirror camera was not bolted tightly - they retightened it but issue is still present. Interestingly that MS Plaid loaner was not affected by the wind at all. Appears to be software issue. Be careful driving in windy conditions.

Lines are just a suggestion. The goal of the NN is to avoid obstacles, and it will happily cross lines to do so.

The last time I took the Express Lane, with bollards on the right and concrete on the left, the truck frequently drove over the lines and even into the rumble strips, but it never violated the physical barriers.

It would satiate my OCD if it would stay centered, but I don’t feel unsafe.

My CyberTruck rides the rumble-flectors trying to kiss mirrors (or shake hands) with the next car… (I shall dub thee da CyberShake)

No contact, so it must be safe… ?‍♂
