I went to wash my truck the other day and noticed all 4 wheels were scratched where the wheel covers were attached. Tesla Dublin agreed to refinish all of the wheels without much trouble. I have stopped using them until Tesla comes up with a remedy. Attached are before and after pics:

After is after the refinish? Or before putting wheel covers on?

There is definitely a problem with some of the wheel covers, see the Core Wheel pics below.
They scratched my wheels in 6 places on EVERY wheel, waiting for the next service appointment and see what tesla can do, the scratches are so deep not sure a refinish will work.

How long did you have to leave your truck to get them refinished? Next day or the typical CT "cya in a month" schedule?

Bottom picture is after the refinish. Tesla Dublin was able to turn around the truck in 2 days, I think this part of the ticket they got done in a single day with a 3rd party. I did not attempt to put wheel covers back on.

Those look good being refinished, hoping mine will look as good, but the scratches are deep and in 6 spots on each wheel so not sure how they will turn out

Wow, clearly the Core wheel covers are rubbing on the wheel in those spots…guess I’ll find out how my Core wheels look when I pull the covers off to adjust tire pressures now that it’s getting warmer in my area.

I noticed mine were scratched as well when I brought my truck in for a rotation. I leave my covers on 99% of the time so I don’t think it’s worth bringing it in to fix. Our Model Y had some scratches as well from the wheel covers so not sure if it’s possible to prevent.

My 3 and Y don't have any scratches like what I got here. I'm hoping there's a way to redesign the clip to have more padding and still be strong enough to stay on when driving.

It's very likely your wheel covers weren't installed correctly. I noticed that on one of the tires in the few weeks after I first installed mine by myself. You HAVE TO push the wheel cover center inward and hear a click; so the wheel cover won't appear flat, but sunken at the center. Try that.

My FS was exactly the same. When I removed to inflate the tires was when I noticed them. Immediately took them off and they’ve been off since.
Did you get any help from Service on them?

Unfortunately I didn’t even try. I discovered it about 1 month after taking ownership and hundreds of miles on it already.

They probably would’ve just told me it was wear and tear.

My truck is 15 months old and I didn't have any problem getting my rims fixed.

Did Tesla provide you with the center caps when they did their refinish or did you buy those aftermarket?
