Did Tesla provide you with the center caps when they did their refinish or did you buy those aftermarket?
These are the free ones they gave me for being a FS owner.

Really? Did you open a service request regarding the scratches?
Yep that's exactly what I did. Said they appeared to come from the wheel covers and they said they have a refinishing service they can do, and to stop using the wheel covers.

Alright, I listened to your experience and went ahead and just requested in the app. I’ll keep you guys updated.

My FS was exactly the same. When I removed to inflate the tires was when I noticed them. Immediately took them off and they’ve been off since.
yep! I noticed this too and I’m fact am having the back right tire checked for a slow leak.

so if I put in a service request Tesla will address the scratches? That sounds like a YMMV situation but I’ll try.

I recently got a flat and had to tow into Tesla, the wheel cover broke off cause of the flat and I was able to see these exact same scratches on my AT wheel/tire setup as OP. Not sure what to do since I like the look of the wheel covers vs not having them.

I didn't even ask for a fix I just wanted to let them know. They offered the refinishing.

Me too. Although I like the OP's wheel style much better than my fully spoked version that came with mine. I'm not even sure if i have scratches, or not, because I rarely take my covers off. And when I have I probably never noticed even if there were sctaches since I planned on putting them immediatly back on again.

OP's wheels:

Is that the non FS wheel or the core wheel?

Mine is the FS series wheel that came with my FS Cyberbeast as far as I am aware. I mean, it came with it stock, anyway. I snipped that pic from another post on the first page of this thread. I know mine doesn't look like yours, that's for sure...and I'm pretty sure it looks like the one in the pic I snipped.

Wheel covers also add up to 7% range on the highway, sooooooo less range and worse look without them, orrrrrrr use them and have the rims scratched up.

As I originally expected, Tesla just cancelled my service request and stated it was normal for the wheel covers to leave marks on the wheels.

It is definitely YMMV and OP got lucky they repaired the wheels.
