"Science the shit out of this!"We could get to the bottom of this. I also have a beast in Dallas. Never gotten a strike and FSD definitely works as it should right now. DM me if you want to meet up. We can find out if it’s you doing something wrong or your truck acting wonky.
How does one know how many "strikes" they have? I definitely have at least one.. lolFWIW, I got my first FSD strike today. ?
The Attention Monitor was being unusually super-judgy, and I can think of only 2 things that were different:
So perhaps FSD has tighter attention-thresholds under certain adverse conditions? ?
- It was in the AM, but before sunrise, so technically "at night"
- I had FSD mode on "HURRY", because, well, I was in a hurry lol

That only show when you get a strike. Mine no longer show up but I have two.
I’ve done that too! cruising on fsd, decided to race another ct on the freeway. 100mph came fast and away i Went to Tesla jail. Other ct didn’t race so I lost I guessYou're the man CyberGus! I got my strike after forgetting FSD was engaged.. Then floored it when a good part to a song was kicking in.. (Little Black Submarines - The Black Keys)
You are locked out until you go back into park.As potential buyer and FSD being one of the main reason, what is FSD “jail”? How long does it lock you out? If you pull over and shut down and restart, does it Go away?
I am only interested in the latest software version.
Good suggestion. I wish there was some way to increase the font size on the screen.Have never gotten a strike, not even sure how they happen.
That said, I have seen the warning which makes using Spotify or doing anything in the nav challenging. I prefer the approach on the Model S/X UI where you can drag the music panel to the driver's side vs. the rigid UI approach driven by the single screen. The problem with the one-screen, no configurability, approach is that many controls are out of sight/reach for the driver.
Tesla should really move the nav/music to the left (Driver's side in the US) of the screen instead of the useless FSD visualization. Put the visualization on the right, out of the way.
Wouldn't that mean they've expired? That only show when you get a strike. Mine no longer show up but I have two.
Can anyone tell me if the cabin camera is negatively affected by wearing polarized sun glasses. I just had cataract surgery and got a new prescription for my glasses, but I am still very light sensitive. The photo gray lenses are activated by UV and I think the Tesla glass removes much UV, so they hardly go gray at all.I haven't figured out when attention monitoring turns off during sunglasses - I rarely get the wheel nag, but my associate gets a wheel nag 1x or 2x per minute, and it is very annoying. It's not the sunglasses as he tried to wear mine and the same result. He is a bigger guy than me. I can't figure it out. FWIW - I can literally close my eyes in shades and it won't nag me...
