Supposedly inventory doubled to around 10k trucks now based on a 3rd party inventory tracker. Huge inventory bump for everything except new MY. If that is accurate, I expect a good incentive.

I really don't think the current lease promo for AWD is doing much, especially when the majority of 2024 AWDs in my area aren't even eligible for a lease. I really thought we might see a free supercharging offer for all 2024 inventory but seems like they are trying hold onto that lever for FS only.

I'm ready to buy as soon as the deal hits, just still torn between AWD and Beast.
I’m waiting for the same. Beast is amazing from the test drive I took but I don’t know that it’s worth the price difference for daily driving.

Over 10k in inventory and available now? They definitely aren't selling too fast now at all. Have to wonder how long production will continue in its current form or become niche like the S/X even for a while...

This illustrates the problem that manufacturers face in an excess inventory situation. If word gets around that there is a glut of Product X on the market, then consumers will put off their purchases, because they will expect discounts or other incentives to be coming.

But if consumers stop buying, then the excess inventory problem can get even worse.

With the R&D, time and money they put into the CT I don’t think they would drop it completely but I do think S/X volumes and pricing is where it will stay long term.

Don't worry, the real sign inventory has gotten out of hand is the production line shuts down. Ford and GM do it fairly regularly. Then they sell through the inventory sitting on lots. The kind of inventory the competition currently has (in terms of days of sales) dwarfs anything Tesla has.

Rumor is the line has been halted for CT though.

If the third-party inventory trackers are accurate, then there are even more S/X (combined) in inventory than Cybertrucks, even though the S/X (combined) do not sell as well as the Cybertruck.

The S/X, unlike the CT, are marketed in Europe and Asia. However, the S/X (which are only made in the US) have been hit hard by tariffs, and overseas sales are way down. High S/X levels in inventory might reflect the sudden drop in European/Asian demand.

I was in the same boat as you but I'm leaning more towards a cyberbeast. Same dilemma with wheels though. In reality you can buy different wheels and better tires for cheaper than what Tesla charges for the upcharge. You can even get the Cyber wheels and winter tires for cheaper last I checked.

Always have the option of the lease buyout to still take advantage of the $7500 credit. Just buyout quickly so you don't pay the stupid lease interest rate.
How does the lease buyout work?

Tesla should advertise or at least EDUCATE PEOPLE OUTSIDE OF X. The Cybertruck is very expensive, but for $80,000 it is the best vehicle you can buy, period. Same thing with the new Y. It should be sold out for months. People that I talk to are still so incredibly naive about Teslas and EVs. I’ve converted many friends and family but I’m now hitting a wall.

Agreed, with the CT they NEED to get people behind the wheel so most can get past the exterior.

Go to the Tesla inventory page and search for Cybertrucks in your area. Then try the same search on Autotrader.com for F-150 Lightnings. I actually get more hits for Cybertrucks.

It's not a secret that Ford has suspended Lightning production in the past. It wouldn't surprise me if Tesla did the same for Cybertrucks, although Tesla probably would be more secretive about it.

We should get a 2Q 2025 production number from Tesla for the Model S, Model X, and Cybertruck (combined) at the beginning of July. I'm not convinced that any of these models are selling well right now, so I wouldn't be shocked if the combined production number is low.

Incentives that do not include real $ reductions have little value when there is so much uncertainty in the economy. Free FSD, free wraps, lower % rates (getting closer) are not much help to those who want to actually spend less on the vehicle. Surprised we haven't seen any base price reductions yet.

Yeah i think that a $99,000 for NEW 2024 FS Cyberbeast with free FSD, premium connectivity, and supercharging will do it for me.
