Yes, I’d buy again. Would I have told myself to wait until the peak hate ended (about a month ago?), which also happened to coincide with lower prices, perhaps.

I would say though that if I did not purchase again I wouldn’t have bought anything else as nothing else on the new market checks the same boxes.

I will only trade my gen 1 cT with one that will have 500> range w/ the gen2 batteries and charger fasters. In the meantime, I am delighted with my AWD CT. I might even go beast mode.

Why are you holding out of a smaller one? It’s incredibly nimble even in tight lots. Size has never been an issue thus far in ownership.

I hope to never drive a different vehicle (except maybe the long range Edition CT).

I just picked mine up from the SC again today. Have had major errors and issues and for my short ownership, >30% of the time my CT has been in the SC. I still wouldn’t trade it. Especially after I saw just how many had experienced tremendous reliability. I truly began to doubt! But not anymore.

I’m still a fan boy and even laughed to see an old man give me a dirty look from his Volvo! I missed the scowls!

Yes.
Foundation series was overpriced, and I would buy it again.
Did Tesla fumble the release, Yes.
They do not have the right people in place, or the right strategy.
If you’re one of those people at Tesla, I would provide business consulting for $111,000.

I love it but seriously if I knew how much shit I would be getting for it I would not have bought it a year ago… people thinking I’m a sympathizer to the crap that’s going on is annoying and having to get a finger or shouted at or thumbs down for it every day gets tiring Or worried my kids will hear it or that I can’t drive to certain cities cause it will get vandalized… I think all the happy people are in Texas or somewhere related (and I live in central Pennsylvania, some conservative pickup drivers hate it too). Can’t imagine only getting good compliments, a year ago it was so different.
It will stop once they see more on the road. It was crazy in Florida when I got mine early last year but now I see 2-3 a day and people got bored with it.

Yep. In western Washington, my insurance for the CyberBeast is about the same as the 2018 Ford Expedition I traded in for it.
Hello there fellow Western Washingtonian. Who is your truck insured through? I had a hell of a time getting coverage, and am paying almost twice as much as I did when I was 17 with a couple speeding tickets.

I just realized I renewed another 6 months just yesterday with GEICO but really need to shop, hoping the insurance markets have cooled down on CTs I couldn’t believe I had to bail on my broker as she couldn’t even find me anyone willing to cover it.

Glad you’re loving it but be mindful of your states lemon laws—I’ve heard of 2 people receiving lemon law payments pretty easily once they qualify.

Surely you could benefit financially if yours qualifies, and then just buy another Cybertruck

No.

I needed 500 miles, I didn’t get it. I purchased anyway, knew what I was getting and I’m generally happy with what it is. But I said it before, it really isn’t exactly what I wanted/needed. It cannot replace my FJ. I’m normally uncompromising. This is why.

I knew that once the revealed range wasn’t as promised, that this was a dealbreaker and I should’ve simply backed out of the deal. The range extender was always an unsatisfactory consolation prize (IMO). So, the fact that it’s not coming really doesn’t change anything for me.

All the other stuff (haters, fud, polarizing design) doesn’t concern me. My dream was that I would be able to drive out into the middle of the desert as far as I wanted (take nothing but some food, water and my dogs) look around and at the spur of the moment decide that I wanted to stay overnight (or longer), explore and then come home.

For that, I needed exactly 2 things: (1) a minimum 500 miles of range and (2) a fold-down midgate that would allow me to sleep in the bed of the truck with climate control. One was promised, the other was suggested by an early reservation holder and Elon said “yes. we’ll do it” (midgate), neither was delivered.

I should’ve walked away when that became clear, and it’ll never happen again.

I am in a position where I can: (1) chalk it up to experience, keep the truck, and enjoy it for what it is, (2) keep the FJ (and watch it continue to appreciate), and (3) buy myself a Scout or something else that delivers on the exact minimum specifications I require— and that’s exactly what I’m going to do.

Lemonade. I do like 8-10K CT and maybe 4K on the M3 /Year. 2 cars model 3 and CT AWD like $77-80 / mo for both. Base is like $45 even if I drove no where.

Just having the PowerShare was worth it to me. Tropical storms & hurricanes are part of life in South Florida. This machine is what I needed-a blend of tech savvyness with an eco-system built-in to complement the driving experience. Yes would do it again.

Absolutely!!! - AWD CT FS

I put my name a day after announcement in Nov 2019. Took delivery on June 4, 2024. I have never looked back.

One problem, after driving the CT you will hate driving other cars, even my wife’s MY.
cheers!
