If the AWD comes down under $60k we've talked about considering a second CT instead of a new Y - but we are very eager to try the new Y in the meantime.

You can’t buy any new regular gas truck for this price now
The biggest selling point for me was that I test drove the Ford Lightning, Rivian, Silverado RST EV, The Hummer EV and both versions of the Cybertruck. The AWD CT was less expensive than some of the others while the Beast CT was a little more. Cost aside, or if they were all the same price, I thought the Cyberbeast was the best one, for me, likely bc my first Tesla was a Model X Plaid. The competitions vehicles just don’t have the added benefits that Tesla offers-they ALL felt empty or “brainless” because I knew they would never be able to evolve to be fully autonomous….perhaps future iterations would, but not the ones I drove! I wanted a vehicle that will “learn” and grow and was willing to pay whatever slight price difference that may entail. I did like the Silverados range but knowing how actually inefficient it is and that they just stuffed a bunch of extra batteries in there to make up for their lack of engineering turned me off to that-it would be like buying a Dually Silverado with the extra fuel tank and then boast to your friend that the truck could go farther than their family car-lol. The CT AWD is very well priced, compared to the competition…if you can even call them competition!

I paid 73K in 2022 for a RAM 3500 diesel for the Boss Lady to haul her cows around.
To keep a realistic payment the CT will have to come in around that or less.
The diesel pig is paid off but I bought a 2019 Dodge mini van to hold me over till I get the CT.
My little Nissan work van has 190K on the clock and is starting to show it's age.

Tacoma was my top choice before buying CT. It’s not apples to apples. Tacoma doesn’t have secure 6’ bed with adaptable suspension. It doesn’t have the insane acceleration or steer by wire, which is a game changer. The closest you want to compare is Raptor or R1T or Lightning, but they all still fall short of several things! There is nothing like CT out there to have an apple to apple price comparison. At the best you could compare AWD to Beast! ?
Maybe one day…Tacoma EV ?
