I have the same compressor, might have even bought it due to your post, don't remember. But I use it a lot, going out on the beaches here on long island.
I wrote the first post on this forum about the TC-BL 120V portable compressor over a year ago. Many have purchased one since. I've used mine over 50 times, still works great! And it's fast!

It's overkill for simple emergency repair as it weighs 20 lbs. but it's worth it for the speed of inflation of 4 tires simultaneously. For emergency plug repairs, I recommend this lightweight unit:

Hyper Tough Dual Power Digital Inflator for P195/65R15 Car Tire, Car-DC 12V or Home-AC 120V - Walmart.com

Still won’t do the side of the highway change if I can avoid it. Yes, there are risks in everything. But some I can reduce by choosing to not do.
I agree and would avoid it as much as possible. I do carry flares for a couple reasons but one is for the extremely rare event , I don’t recognize a “Low Tire Pressure” Alert and I can’t get off the highway before it gets dangerously low. Sometimes there’s no Cell coverage to contact Roadside Assistance on long stretches of Highway out west. I do carry a Starlink Mini but I even in that case I would still opt to plug a tire at a Rest Stop or way off on the shoulder of the road , then wait for several hours for Roadside Assistance.

This is my set up. Will get you out of nearly any Tire failure without having to carry the added weight of a jack and full-size Spare. Maybe after the warranty has expired will I go with aftermarket rims and 37s and carry a full size spare but even then I think I’ll stick with this lower weight smaller form factor option. I’ve never had a Tire failure Offroad where I needed a full size spare; just punctures, failed valve stems or sidewall cuts where this kit would have sufficed to get home. I should probably add a can of Starting Fluid to re-seat a Bead during air downed off road situations.
Great taste as exact same setup and couldn’t recommend it more! Both for self and others you may want to help. ?

I don't think that phrase means what you think! It means it's not for a commercial tire shop or even a racing club shop. It's for occasional use.

It’s not $500. It’s $110. Still pricey compared to some aftermarket devices, but a really excellent system, well-designed and packaged. I advise taking it apart and putting it together as soon as received, as there are some necessary use elements that aren’t obvious, such as how to open it up. It took me a while to figure out the slime mode, for example.

Got lucky early on and got a take off from u-tires.com for $182, then bought a rim for $175. The. Just picked up a TPMS so I can rotate tires as I go. It’s a bit of a conflict though. Not getting to pick where the tire goes flat, having a traction board to help support the 4-ton jack, and for all my road trips it’s in the truck. Else I just take it out and all the tools.

New Cybertruck owner of only a week. I hadn't really thought about this until I picked up the Cybertruck and noticed there is no spare.
It's not like you can carry a donut :). What does one do if you have a flat? Will AAA do anything? Would you have to get a tow?
On the app scroll down to roadside assistance and select flat tire. I was then contacted by a human and literally, not kidding, was getting called by the tow truck driver before I was off the line with Tesla. They couldn't plug it so they took me and the truck to the dealer. The whole thing took a 2-3 hours but was actually easy.

Odd timing of a post…this just happened 20 minutes ago:

Completely flat in about 20 seconds, just enough time to pull over. My solution is a patch kit and carry a compressor, back on the move 10 minutes later. I do carry a sidewall patch kit too, but have only ever had to repair punctures. I’ll carry a full size spare on off-roading trips, but often leave it behind if I’m sticking to populated areas.

Shame there isn't a port from the air suspension tank that you could plug a hose into.

Discount Tire parking patched mine for free!
Cool and probably a 3/4 day event but I’m a misanthrope and a hermit so I like to be an independent and self reliant as possible. ?

So my takeaway from this thread is:
  1. Real men own their own tools
  2. If you can’t change a tire, you’re a pussy
  3. If you change a tire on the side of a road, you’re an idiot

?

Not at all. Everyone’s use case is different.
There are many ways to solve this problem,
“What do you do if you have a flat tire?”
just presenting options for consideration as that was the Primary question being asked on this thread.
Prepare according to one’s comfort level and ability.
If one feels offended and identify with one of the three items listed above, they did that to themselves .
