Ran a carfax on the vehicle, came back clean says only 1 previous owner

it’s a Foundation AWD, regular not a cyberbeast

I’ll probably have more questions after my test drive today! If all goes well could pick it up by end of this week!

I read online I could access a battery health report by going into service mode on the car, but I shouldn’t touch anything else while in that menu - any thoughts on that?

the alternative is to run that battery test but seems it can take several hours as it has to go to 0% and then back to 100%? So wouldn’t be able to do that on the spot..

update you guys in a bit :)

Personally I think this is way excessive. Battery health should be completely normal after so few miles no matter what the previous owner did.

The battery is on warranty. Your time would be better spent reading the warranty, but the battery health check is now in the service menu.

Here now

only two things I noticed

no rattle or loose panels after pulling with fingers

the trunk has a slight wobble when I tap/hit it

thoughts?

Pic #1:
The tonneau is missing a slat (all CTs coming out of the factory come this way). Service will add a slat if you ask for it (the how-to procedure is in the Cybertruck Service Manual; if you Google it, you'll find the manual).

There is no functional difference of having the extra slat or not. I had it added to mine just because I read about it on these forums.

Pic #2:
That's a common slight misaligned cantrail where it meets the rear quarter panel. I have it on both sides of mine. It's cosmetic, some ppl care about it, some don't. This may get fixed since you'll most likely need to cantrail recall applied to your vehicle.

For reference, mine is a 52xxx VIN built on Nov 15, 2024.

Trunk wobble:
This could be the glue issue. Honestly, if I were you, I wouldn't worry about it because Tesla will repair it if it becomes an issue. However, there was someone in NH who had a lot of panel glue issues on several panels. I remember he got Tesla to buy it back and he's plannign to purchase a new CT.

Battery health:
Honestly, don't worry about it. People new to EVs tend to hyper focus on this. It's not an issue and even if it was, the CT has 8 years / 150,000 mile warranty on the battery.

Good luck and let us know how you make out!

If it’s financially worthwhile for youu, go for it, but if it were me, and I’m saying this even though I understand it may be a financial stretch, I’d be going for a free supercharging car from Tesla.
I don’t think anyone seems to be attributing the true value of free energy for life to this deal.
EV charging (read…gas) prices will only go up and with PowerShare, Tesla could also be heating or cooling your house for close to a decade.
Honest advice. Not everyone will agree.
Sorry if this comment introduces doubt but it just seems like such a better deal to me I can’t be silent about it.

If I buy this, and have no other EV, I can get the lower priced wall mount charger right?

Might pull the trigger!

A few trucks have had the following issue.
Something to look for as I hear it gets worse with miles.

Gear whine. Intermittent chirp or whine noise from the gears. This gets worst with time and can be more apparent on hills.

Vibration at high freeway speeds. Coming from the drive units.

Air noise from dash area. This appears around 20-30 MPH and sounds like a wind noise. Would go away when you made a hard left or right turn. There is some debate on what it is.

Don't do the battery test that'll take forever. Just do the math to see what the BMS is calculating for its battery size. Look at the service menu and scan thru the errors, and just look thru the screens to see if everything is green and working.

Unless you are a nearly full time road tripper, Free Supercharging is almost always over valued as a perk.

Not true at all in my case but I’ve heard that before.

The FS comes with PowerShare, which includes a universal wall connector and a gateway. I don’t know what they are doing now but if it were me I’d want them.

There are experts here who know a lot more than me but I think if you want to use PowerShare you need a universal wall connector which to me means you should splurge the extra hundred or two hundred buck difference (I forget how much it was) and get a UWC up front.
Odds are a dealer will not make you whole for the PowerShare gateway or the charger on a used car.
But that doesn’t matter if you ever get a powerwall.

Not true at all in my case but I’ve heard that before.
In Canada, tariffs have hit and the price of any new Tesla jumped significantly. Unless OP can find a pre-tariff truck, the additional cost to get a new one with the free supercharging is extremely high. As well, in some jurisdictions, 'luxury sales tax' applies, which will bump the price again. Where I am, there was a loophole (since closed) that avoided that tax completely... saving me about $12k on the pre-tariff price.

If I was to buy my truck today, it would now cost about $40k more in total than I paid last fall.
